Silver Rain
Six

It was our second to last day, I had already got an autograph from all three Hanson bothers and a kiss from two...but it still didn't feel right the way Zac took off yesterday. "I'm dating Issac." Jen bragged, I was completely ignoring her. It was her fault about the incident last night. Tay thought she was talking to him, and not Zachary. "How was I supposed to know Taylor liked you?" She couldn't stand being ignored.

I just stood up and walked over to my friend, Kindell. Who was wearing shorts and neon green bikini top. Maybe she didn't have a heart for my brother...Or maybe she did. For I know that deep down inside I still loved Matt....NO. I don't...Not anymore.

"Hey." I let out softly, taking a seat on the edge of the bed next to her. Her green eyes glowed slightly as she smirked and gave me a slight nod. She seemed upset, and it made me feel awful. I had invited her to come then only hung out with her the day of the signing and then ignored her the rest of the time. "What's new?" I asked, rubbing my hands on the legs of my Silver Tab flare jeans.

"Nothing." She said with a sigh, "You were right. I am Not over Luke. I never will be."

"That's not true. You'll fall in love with others." I shot, my voice at an edge. "I'm so over Matt."

"No. Your Not!" Kindell yelped, laughing.

"I am. Since I've met Zachary Walker Hanson." I said, shoving her hard.

"No!" she yelled, "You love Matt!" Just as she said that, Matthew walked into the room, his overwhelming hazel eyes glowing in the sunlight. Short brown hair making him have an everlasting beauty. Inside he was also perfect, except for his cold heart towards relationships and true love. Once the perfect guy, now just like the rest.

"What?" Matt asked as he noticed us staring at him. He shrugged and plopped down on the other bed. Placing his arms behind his head, and shut his eyes in a peaceful rest.

I wandered over to where Matt, by hoping up on the bed and sitting cross legged next to him, leaning against his rips. "Hi there. Buddy man." His eyes fluttered open, looking at me.

"Buddy man?" he asked, slightly raising an eyebrow in my direction.

"Yeah, your my buddy man." I commented, staring off into space, enjoying the closeness to my good friend. That's all we were and all we were going to be...friends.

I sighed remembering the time, earlier in June when he carried me across a small, muddy water stream...twice in fact! I was so scared that he was going to drop me, but soon I learned that he could be trusted. And that my sweatshirt was a gold-mind to happiness, I hugged it close to me, many memories floating back to me.

"Things happen Kindell, I met a Hanson." I whispered quietly as one of Matt's eyes flew open again giving me a 'what?' kind of look. I just smiled at him and said, "Hey, buddy man..." I elbowed him slightly in the ribs.

"Oww...that was my ribs." he cried, his hands shooting to his side in the jester that it was hurt. I laughed. He was so silly sometimes.

"Wanna do something today, just us." I said, not meaning just me and Matt, I meant no Hanson. "I mean...All of us."

He chuckled, "like what?"

"We could go shopping!" Nicole suggested, her eyes lighting up at the idea. I shook my head. No. Why would we want to go shopping again? We went yesterday.

"Got a basketball?" Matt asked sitting up and looking around at everyone. Searching for a small round orange colored ball.

"I got one..." Josh said, unzipping his black ADIDAS gym bag and tossing him the ball. He moaned slightly as it hit his tight tummy. Running his fingers over the bumps on the ball, suggesting we play basketball.

I sat on a large rock, next to me was Jennifer. Kindell sat on the ground, leaning against the rock we were sitting on. It was a hot and steamy day, I could feel my skin burning beneath the hot sun. Watching the three boys play 'horse' with a basketball and hoop. The hot sun burning down onto their shirt less skin, sweat rolling down their backs. Each one's face was dark red and they we're breathing hard.

"Man, Luke looks nice out there." Kindell commented, fixing the blue bandanna that was covering over her long blight blonde curls.

"Eww! No!" I cried.

"He looks like a skinny twig!" Jen yelped playfully, bursting out laughing. "Punch him in the stomach and he'll crack! But I still love him.0"

"Guess what." Kindell called from below. "Luke is the only one that looks good out there."

"What about Matt?!" I shrieked from on top of the large rock. He had a perfect body unlike the other skinny twig and the small figure.

"Matt? He's ugly." She suggested giving me a matter-of-factly look.

"I guess so." I said softly, not in the mood to fight with her in this weather. I had a different taste then most of my friends, I always seemed to think the ugly guys were cute and the odd ones were sweet. Like Matt Rainville for instance.

I glanced to my hooded sweatshirt that was sitting on the ground near the rock. Figuring that nobody would take my good luck charm, I slide off the warm rock. Looking to the boys, who were still playing, I figured they wouldn't miss me. Sprinting across the uneven grass, I ran to the nearest climbing tree. Grabbing the lowest branch with much ease.

I felt skinny for once, being able to get into the large tree. Making my way higher in the tree, I peered across the open field. Nobody. Looking back to where the boys were playing, Luke and Josh sprawled out on the hot blacktop. Matt? Where was Matt? Err...He's talking to Kindell and Jen. Perhaps I'll stay in the tree for awhile.

Watching from above, I saw Matt pick up my sweatshirt and wave it in front of my chicas. They gave him a clueless look and looked around. Sighing I looked around in the tree, letting out a shriek and fell back. I clung onto the branch trying to keep from falling to the hard ground as I stared into the eyes of a snake, small but scary. Screaming I tried to lower myself but there was no branch below my feet to step on.

"What is it?" I heard from below, it was Matt. I could tell by his one of a kind voice.

"Snake..." I choked out, breathing hard.

"Climb down." He ordered, his voice filled with concern.

"I can't...can't find the branch." I yelped, my hands slipping from the branch. As the snake moved closer, it's tongue flying around like a whip.

"Jump back." Matt demanded.

"Are you kidding?!" I cried, my voice trembling. "You trying to kill me?"

"I'll catch you." He assured me, as I leaned back. My heart rapid in my chest as I released the branch. Falling back, I freaked out. I was caught by strong arms, I was breathing hard, my head dizzy, my hands cold as I turned to Matt.

"Thank you so much!" I cried, hugging him. Then pulling away quickly.

"You get shaken up quickly..." He commented, giving me a smirk.

"I get scared easily..." I whispered, calming down a little, feeling oddly dizzy.

"Like the time I carried you across the creek?" He said with a chuckle.

"Are you making fun of me?" I spat out quickly.

"No." Matt assured me, as I headed back to my rock. Matt followed me back, to play some more basketball.
