Brooke sighed and let her finger grace the top of her drink. The pulsating beats and the giggling of drunken teenagers was giving her a headache. How in the world did Lindsi convince me to come here? she thought momentarily and then realized she was all up for the idea earlier. Laughing to herself, she lifted her cherry coke off the table and took a quick swig.
As she set her drink back down, she caught of glimpse of familiar brown hair and glittering blue eyes. The second that they walked into the party, Lindsi had disappeared into the crowd and this was the first she had seen from her friend in a half hour. She was dancing in the middle of the room with Kyle, smiles plastered across their faces.
She let her eyes drift to the other end of the room, where Tyler was leaning against the door frame. He was talking to a blond haired boy, and a girl that had short honey blond locks that curled slightly at the bottom. The girl was hanging on the guy, presumably they were dating.
Smiling a little she looked back down at her cherry coke, maybe she would need something more. Something to help keep her mind off the fact that Tyler was across the room talking to another girl. It hadn't accured to Brooke that she actually really liked Tyler until the day that Lindsi was talking to her in the hotel room. But now, she couldn't stop thinking about him.
She turned her attention away from Tyler and realized that she wasn't alone at the table anymore. Sitting in front of her was a young boy with short choppy blond hair that stuck up in little spikes all around his head. His crystal blue eyes stared at her, however they seemed to stare right through her.
"Hi, I'm Jeff," he informed, a soft smile forming at the corner of his lips.
"Brooke," she muttered, a fake smile slowly playing her lips.
"Well, Brooke. Why aren't you dancing?" he questioned, his eyes glittering slightly underneath the light. His head tilted slightly to one side in a state of confusion.
She laughed and looked at the cherries that floated around in her drink. "Nobody's asked me," she grinned.
"Dance with me?" Jeff stated, standing up and holding his hand out for her to take it. Brooke wrinkled her nose slightly, her eyes gliding past him to the mass amount of sweaty people.
"And why would I want to do that?" Brooke questioned, tucking a few wisps of hair behind her ear as she stared up at him.
He was a little shocked by her remark, "I..." His thoughts were cut off as a slow song came on and he grinned, "Come on, Brooke. I can't dance out there by myself to this."
"Sure." She whispered, reaching out and taking hold of his hand which was still extended out to her. Jeff lightly pulled Brooke to her feet and pulled her towards the middle of the crowd. He placed his hands on her silky skirt and yanked her hips close to his. Brooke instantly became uneased and stepped back slightly, so that she was at least a half a foot away from him before she set her hands on his shoulders.
She glanced across the dance floor to check on Lindsi, who was not dancing with Kyle anymore. Instead she stood next to a girl that seemed to be irritated.
Brooke smiled warmly in their direction, she wished that she was there. She turned back to Jeff, her smile immediately shifting into a fake one. "You're a great dancer," she lied, knowing he had already stepped on her black shoes twice.
He laughed, and just smiled back at her. Brooke felt his grip tighten as he slowly began to pull her closer to him. His face moving closer and closer to hers. She let out a fake laugh, and tried to move back again, but his grip was so tight that she couldn't move much.
"You know, you're really beautiful, Brooke." He smiled, "there is something about you that makes you stand out from all of the other girls here."
"Uh, Thanks." She replied cautiously, shifting slightly in her grip and glancing helplessly over his shoulder towards Lindsi. Who was still talking with the burnette. He leaned in slightly, his breath smelling of alcohol.
"How come you're here all alone?" he questioned.
"I'm not," Brooke shot, "I'm here with my best friend, and..." She stopped short, what was Tyler exactly. She couldn't really place it, would she call him a friend, an acquantince, or just a crush? Yet, she didn't have much more time to think about it because Jeff was moving his head closer to her face. Brooke quickly snapped her head to the side, but she wasn't quick enough and his lips made contact with hers.
Yanking back quickly, Brooke stared at him wide-eyed. "Um, excuse me," she whispered, "I...I need to, I just gotta go talk to my friend." Wrapping her arms around herself protectively, she set out to find Lindsi.
She had wandered around the people for awhile, trying desperatly to catch a glimpse of her friend through the crowd. It had grown at least twice the size that it was when they first showed up at the party. Just as she was about to break into tears, she ran right into Tyler.
"Ty!" she spat, "oh my gawd, have you seen Lindsi?"
He stared at her intently, "No, but you look like hell."
"Gee, thanks for your fucking concern," Brooke shot back angerily.
"I didn't mean it that way," he defended, "are you okay?" She stared at him momentarilly, than just lifted her shoulders slightly.
"What's that?" she inquired, pointing at the cup that he had in his hand.
He lifted it slightly, tilting his head to one side. "I'm not exactly sure. This guy Matthew made it up for me, he said it was some pretty good shit."
"Can I have some?" Brooke begged, reaching out and taking the cup from his hands. She turned away from him, and gulped down the over half-filled cup. She felt a wave of fire burn though her, her head suddenly beginning to spin. She wasn't familiar with drinking more than a tiny cup of alcohol, and the drink that Tyler had was extremely strong. Reaching out, she clung onto the front of Tyler's shirt to keep her balance. "Oh, shit," she muttered, "I don't feel so well..."
"Hey, maybe you just need some fresh air," Tyler stated, grabbing onto her so that she wouldn't topple over. He lead her out of the house, and to the cobble stone steps they had advanced earlier that night. They sat on the top step together, the blurred out sounds of the party the only thing that could heard except for their quiet breathing.
Brooke peered up at the sky, staring at the stars for a moment. Than she looked back down at the ground, actually to the cup that was still in her hand. It was empty. She pursed her lips together, staring at it. It had to have had something in it, other wise, it wouldn't have had such a great effect on her.
She glanced up and made eye contact with Tyler who had been watching her. A goofy smile suddenly formed on her face. "Tyler, I'm drunk," she muttered.
"I know," he replied, "You almost passed out on me inside."
She didn't seem to have heard him, she just stared at him, that goofy smile still plastered across her face. Reaching out, she grabbed onto his shirt sleaves. "..but I'm being honest," she continued, "I have a confession...I am MADLY in love with you."
He stared at her, an expression of shock stuck on his face. Brooke just smiled, leaning in and pressing her lips harshly against his.

Lindsi grinned wildly, finishing off her fifth cup of Pineapple and whatever else was added smoothie. She soothed back her brown locks and stared at Kyle. "I want to dance again," she informed, standing up.
He laughed gently, "Alright, alright." He stood up, following her farther into the crowded room.
Lindsi grinned brightly and then resumed her dancing that she had been doing before. Resumed the motion of letting her hips grind against his in a soft flowing motion. She loved the feel of him against her, she loved the feeling of his hands gracing her body as they danced heatedly in the middle of the crowd. The feeling of his warm breath against the side of her neck sent tingles down the back of her spine.
Egarly, Lindsi let her lips grace against the side of his face. He tasted of strawberries. She slide her left hand up into his brown locks and tilted his head slightly, so that her mouth lingered inches from his ear. "I want to..." her voice choked out with her heavy breaths, "...Kyle, I want to kiss you." He shifted his head, his lips pressing against hers.
It wasn't one of them swift brushes either, it was a breathtaking, quick-paced, leaving you wanting more kiss. His lips moved against hers, making the moment even more heavier, even more tempting than it was before. Lindsi forced herself to pull away from him moments later, to catch a breath. The taste of him still lingering and making her long for another world-shaking experience.
She smiled dreamily at him, as a slow song suddenly fell over the room. Her arms quickly laced around his neck and she rested her head against his chest. She could feel his head grace the top of her head, his breath blowing her hair slightly and making her entire body tingle slightly. "Oh my gawd, Kyle," she suddenly whispered, "you're amazing."
He laughed, "that's what I've always been told." Lindsi smiled up at him, letting her tongue grace her lips, as if she could still taste him. They danced in each others arms, even long after the fast songs began again. Neither of them could think of a reason that could possibly tear them again.
Suddenly, they were interupted. "Excuse me, Kyle," a soft voice stated, "but there was an accident in your bedroom. I really think that you should...check it out."
He gave her a disgusted look. "Who did it this time?" he inquired. She laughed gently, tossing her hair over her shoulder, tilting her head to the side slightly.
"Oh, Kyle. I don't know, just some guy," Barbie grinned, licking her lips slightly as she stared at him.
"Yeah, yeah," he muttered, "I've got to go check this out...see ya later Lindsi." Kyle smiled lightly, turned and started to head out of the crowded living room and towards the staircase that lead up to his room. Lindsi turned to walk away, to find Brooke or Tyler but was quickly spun around by Barbie.
"Didn't I tell you to stay away from Kyle?" she growled, crossing her arms across her chest. Her green eyes squinted slightly as she glared at Lindsi.
Lindsi smirked, peered around the side of her and yelled, "Hey Kyle! Don't forget about our day-date tomorrow!" He stopped, spun around quickly and just gave her the thumbs up before excelling up the steps.
Barbie let out an annoyed sigh, "do you not realize who you are messing with? I am Barbie Winters."
"Yeah, you made that clear before," she shot back, "you're that rich snob who thinks that she can get what ever she wants, when she wants it. Well, princess, this time. It's going to be different."
"Don't be too sure of it," Barbie snapped, turning sharply and waltzing off in the direction that Kyle went. Shaking her head slightly, Lindsi wound her way through the crowd and into the kitchen. Walking over to the drink table, she quickly grabbed an un-opened bottle of Heinkens. Popping off the cap, she flopped down onto the floor and slowly began to take large gulps of the drink.
Who the hell did Barbie Winters think she was? She was Kyle's step-sister. He saw nothing in her. Lindsi lifted the bottle to her lips and took a large swig of it. But than again, Barbie was a gorgeous girl. She also seemed to have Kyle wrapped around her finger.
