Hidden Emotions
nineteen

Wandering into the kitchen, Tal caught his older brother rummaging through the cupboard for something to eat. Tal quietly made his way over to the fruit bowl that sat on the counter next to where Gil was. "What are you looking for?" Tal inquired, grabbing an apple out of the bowl and taking a bite of it.

"Nothing in particular," He stated, glancing towards Tal.

"Oh," Was Tal's simple reply. Going back to looking through the cupboard, Gil tried to ignore Tal's quiet crunching but it was impossible. With every bite of the apple, Tal gave a loud sigh.

Stopping everything, Gil snapped, "Was there something you wanted?" Tal lifted his shoulders in a slight shrug and took another loud bite of the apple.

"I was just thinking," Tal mumbled through a hidden grin, "I was thinking that maybe you should back off of the whole Tal against Brooke act."

Gil glared at him, "And why should I just change my views for you? Do you think that your some kind of mighty..."

"Well, if me and Brooke were back together. Then you'd be seeing alot more of Lindsi," Tal pointed out, "And don't even try to tell me that you don't like her because I saw the way you were looking at her early today."

"I wasn't looking at her any special," Gil growled, slamming the cupboard shut and walking away from his little brother.

"Deny it," Tal sang, "I don't care, but don't you ignore me! I'm going to tell you right this fucking second why you should drop this. First, at school..."

"Fuck what I said at school," Gil hollered, "just forget it."

"...Gil, I won't hurt her anymore. If anything is hurting her, it's us not being together," Tal whined, "I promise I won't hurt her, Gil. I love her. I really do this time. The only thing I want right now is us to be together. It's the most I'll ever ask you for, is to let us be."

"And how can I trust you? How can I believe that you won't cheat on her again?

"Fuck you, Gil. Fuck you," Tal screamed, "That was like fucking forever ago, why can't you just fucking let go of things? I said I love her, and this time for real, it's not a fucking game anymore! I learned my fucking lesson and I lost greatly because of it. Can't you just let me gain alittle dignity anymore?"

"You really should stop your swearing," Gil snapped.

"Why should I?"

"Because it's not you."

"You don't fucking know me, you still think I'm that damn little brat who would hurt anyone's feelings for his own gain. Well, guess what. I changed, I grew up...I just want to live now. You've made plenty of mistakes in you life, and you were forgiven...so why not forgive me?"

"My mistakes only hurt me, and not other people," Gil defended himself.

"One more chance," Tal pleaded, "and if I screw up you can kill me...alright? I'm serious, you can kill me."

"You better count on it," Gil growled, "I'll let you be with her, but if you cheat on her, you'd better count on not breathing another breath."
