Hidden Emotions

"Okay, so I did something stupid...really stupid actually," Laura told her reflection in the girls' bathroom mirror, "But can you blame me? He said he loved her...how could I not be angry? I mean, he's never ever told me that he loved me, and he should...look at all that we've been through. We are like, so close!"

Suddenly, a toilet being flushed caused Laura to become completely silent. Who knows who heard her talking...and who knows what kind of rumours will be thrown about school. She turned quickly, her eyes-wide and jaw dropped as the stall door flung open.

"So, your alittle dumb," Came the harsh voice from the other side of the door, and as it pushed open Laura saw her rivals face beaming. It was Lindsi Weaver. She hadn't known her long, all she really knew was that Lindsi had moved up to Wisconsin from Tennessee and was Brooke's best damn friend ever since. Laura envyed Lindsi's position in Brooke's life, she always wanted to be the top female friend.

"Oh, shut up," Laura growled, "Like you even know one thing about how smart I am."

Lindsi laughed, "Hmm, and this coming from the girl who doesn't know what mutual feelings meant? You should know by now, that Brooke tells me everything. Even how dumb you are."

"Well...your a cynical little bitch!" She spat at Lindsi, pushing her long wavy blond hair back out of her face.

"And you know what cynical means?" Lindsi retorted.

"YEAH!" Laura cried, "I do!"

"Really?" She smirked, "And what does it mean."

"If you look it up in the dictionary, you'll find your picture."

Laughing, Lindsi made her way over to the sink, before letting the pink soap ooz into the palm of her hand, "I can't believe Brooke even hangs out with you."

"What do you mean?" She sneered, her dull blue eyes glaring at Lindsi. Watching her wash her hands under the faucet and waiting for her to answer. But, not making it easy for Laura, Lindsi waited until her hands were completely dry before answering her.

"Your only using her to get to Gil, and I want to fucking break your fucking face in for it. I hate you. You say all the time that your Brooke's best fucking friend, your not. You use her, you ignore her, and you don't fucking care about her. Today, she ran from the fucking auditorium crying, and what did you fucking do? Fuck, not a thing but care about yourself," Lindsi growled, "If she wasn't such a babe, she'd probably tell you to get out of her fucking life, but she can't because she some how thinks of you as a great fucking friend. She just can't see the real fucking you."

"Go to fucking hell," Laura quipped, crossing her arms across her chest and kind of giving Lindsi an evil eye.

"Don't use my fucking word," Lindsi warned as she was leaving the bathroom, "Your not worth enough to."
