Hidden Emotions

Brooke laughed and stepped into the passanger seat of the small black car that was parked outside school. "Thank you so much for the ride," She grinned, "I really needed to get the hell out of there."

"Naturally. It's high school." Came the driver's smart ass comment.

She leaned over and placed a tiny kiss on the side of his face, "Your such a babe, Tyler. You know that."

He grinned wildly, "If I had to spend eight hours in that hell, I'd skip out too." Starting up the enginee, he pulled out of the parking spot in front of West High. They stayed silent for awhile, the only sound was the radio playing softly.

Brooke stared intently out the window, watching the trees and houses fly past as Tyler drove down the street. She could feel his eyes on the back of her head every now and then, and she knew that soon he was going to ask her what was wrong. They hadn't known each other long, Tyler had moved in with Lindsi so that she could spend time with her best friend after he had broke off from his family. It was his doing that both girls were finally together.

"So, tell me, what happened this time," Ty finally spat, his ice blue eyes glancing at her one last time before looking back towards the road.

She laughed harshly, "I've heard that alot today."

"You don't hide it well," He countered, "So spit it."

"It's Gil again. You know, I thought life would be simple and peaceful if I got back together with Tally. I know it's been years, but I still thought that maybe if we were together I'd feel complete again," Brooke gushed, "I haven't felt as if I entirely belong ever since we broke up, I mean, I haven't been so in touch with a guy since then...I just feel as if I need a..."

"You don't need a fucking Ofarim in your life," Tyler sneered, "That would totally screw it up."

"You don't know what your talking about," She replied, "I've been friends with them since I was little. It seemed as if life was always perfect...they were always there for me."

"Whatever," Ty growled, "Forget I even asked."

"I will then..." Brooke trailed off, her eyes gazing out the window again. Silence was taking over the car and there wasn't much that she could do about it except bare it.

"So, how's that damn talent show song coming?" He shot, trying to break the tense silence between them.

"Good...If I had a song," She smirked, falling back into the chair as it reclined back slightly. Tyler laughed, and continued driving in silence as Brooke began to sing along with the radio. "What am I to do with my life? How am I supposed to know what's right? I can't help the way I feel...but my life has been so overprotected."
