Old News - July 25, 2003
A lot has happened since my last update: my birthday, the performance at the Clay Center, the BYF Lock-in, Rayetta's wedding, Cedar Point, oh yeah and my three doctor's appointments that I think I'll make you read about.  Let's go in chronological order...

First was the Clay Center performance.  I thought my last ACC performance was my last, but there turned out to be one more: the grand opening of the Clay Center with the symphony.  I'm really glad that we got to sing in the Clay Center, even if it was
West Virginia's Home to Me.  I've never liked that song, but I have to admit, there was obviously a lot of work put into it with the whole symphony arrangement and everything.  I also enjoyed getting to sit in the $100 seats for free, but I don't think there are any bad seats in that auditorium.  I thought it was so pretty - it looked a lot like Carnegie Hall from the stage.  They obviously designed it that way.  The best part, though, was of course seeing all my ACC friends again.  It just wasn't quite the same with all the younger kids though.  I felt like I was too old, like I didn't really belong anymore.  I'll definitely come back for the performances though - I can't wait to see a real performance in the Clay Center!

Next comes the doctor's appointments.  I had to go to the dentist, the eye doctor, and the regular doctor in two days.

I just got a new dentist, because my old one retired, and he told me that I will have to have my upper wisdom teeth removed sometime in the near future.  My old dentist had told me that I could leave them in.  I had the bottom two removed a year and a half ago, and now I guess I'll have to have the top ones removed as well.  What fun.

The eye doctor:  I was kinda glad I finally got to go to the eye doctor, because it was getting kinda hard to read road signs while I was driving, which is never a good thing.  I got a new prescription, so I can see again and all is well.

I've always hated going to the doctor, and this was no exception.  I got two shots!  I think most people who know me know what a wuss I am, so they will understand why that bothered me.  But, I'm a big girl now, and it honestly wasn't
too bad.

The next event was my birthday party.  I love bowling!  Joe and Adam:  it was a nice surprise seeing you guys again.  I
told you to have cake - I think we ended up having to throw some away because it got too old.  Anyway, the party was a blast!  I loved seeing everybody all together again.  Sorry for those who couldn't come - it's hard to get a time when everybody is free, especially in the summer.  Jenn and Katie:  you guys left too soon.  Definitely the best part was the last game.  (I scored 111!)  That's only the second time I've broken 100 in my life!  Kinda funny that I scored higher without bumpers than I did with them.  Brandi: I'm glad you got to come.  I'm really glad the guys at the bowling alley stayed open for us.
