Old News - July 25, 2003 cont.
The next major event was the BYF Lock-in.  Bryan, Steve, all the other helpers:  you guys did an awesome job!  I've really enjoyed the whole prayer theme.  I just feel like I've grown so much in my faith recently - it's so great.  I don't know exactly what I'm going to do when I go to college.  I usually spend most of my time with God in the middle of the night when everyone else is asleep.  I guess I'll just have to start earlier.  I really enjoyed TP-ing all the houses.  That was really great.  (For those of you reading this that are wondering why a church would TP houses, I'll fill you in.  TP stands for Totally Praying.  We stuck a square of toilet paper to the door with a sticker that said "You were Totally Prayed for last night.")  Ever since I went to Cowen this year, I've gotten more comfortable praying out loud.  I even volunteered some, which is so out of character for me.  Anyway, the only thing that could've made the lock-in better would have been more time to do the activities.  I was glad to hear that the rest of the houses were done the next night, since we didn't get to finish.

The next big event was Rayetta's wedding, which took place on my 18th birthday - July 19, 2003.  Rayetta: you looked beautiful, and the ceremony was very nice.  I wish you and Geoff the best of luck for a long, happy marriage.

Last but not least was our family vacation at Cedar Point on July 21-24.  As most of you know, I don't like roller coasters, so Cedar Point isn't exactly my ideal vacation.  I spent most of my time at Cedar Point walking around and sitting on benches while Michael and Dad (and sometimes Mom) rode the roller coasters.  Would you believe that Michael rode the Magnum?  He's only seven years old!  He loved it, according to Dad.  I did ride a few things, such as the Scrambler and the carousel.  I also rode the Jr. Gemini with Michael.  It wasn't scary, but it wasn't much fun either.  It jerked you when you went back up a hill.  I did actually have fun once during the vacation though.  On Wednesday, Mom and I rode the ferry over to Put-In Bay.  It's not a very big place, but it has several blocks of shops, which I of course took full advantage of.  That was definitely the best part of the vacation for me.

Well, that's the lastest!
