"I am a member of the Nlaka'pamux tribe or the Lytton First Nations Band.  I started carving at a very young age, inspired by class mates.  I harvest my soap stone from the stone quarries within the Nlaka'pamux traditional territories in the Lytton area.  I have been teaching my craft since 1977.  My inspiration is to help anyone to get started and am aiming to convey Aboriginal Culture and spiritual concepts in my work and hope that through my art will encourage young people to seek out and embrace their culture.  My moto is 'if people appreciate the beauty of nature, they will want to preserve it.'  Some of my work can be found at":
