What is a Ghost?
A "Ghost" is the spirit of a dead person or animal capable of making itself seen or heard by the living. Belief in, and worship of ghosts, was common in ancient societies and is still found today. In Europe, belief in ghosts dates back to ancient times, and was widespread during the middle ages. The belief declined somewhat in the ensuing centuries, only to be revived in the 19th century, when spiritualism came into vogue. The forms ghosts are believed to take differ from culture to culture. They can include the solid or transparent bodies (likeness) of the deceased, strange lights, or a disembodied voice. Poltergiests are disruptive, playful entities that are capable of moving objects, breaking objects or touching one's person. Scientists are still trying to prove the exhistince of ghosts and have hundreds of documented facts. People today are afraid to admit to the exhistence of ghosts....Do "YOU" Believe?
