Welcome to my new website! Due to a change in my yahoo ID and a new magickal name, along with changes in myself personally, I felt I needed to move my site to here, and make some changes to the content, layout, and graphics. :: Big News ::

... So far, we've been handling Sean's newest things okay. He's been quite tired, lately, however, and I can't wait for his heart "procedure" to be done with so we can hopefully move on to treating his other problems a bit more aggressively. He's currently scheduled for ASD device closure on Jun 29. He's on meds for his thyroid, as has been increased once. His last 2 sets of labs have looked a bit odd, however, so we're not exactly sure what is going on there. His level of fatigue in combination with his two hospitalizations last fall has led him to miss well over 50 days of school. His endocrinologist, thankfully, wrote for him to be put on half days at school for the remainder of the school year. That has helped some. But he's also been requiring more frequent neb treatments lately. It's difficult to know if this is due to his combined conditions wearing him down, or if it's allergies or what is going on for sure. I took him in for immune system testing and that came out okay, except he needs his tetnus and pneumonia vaccinations redone. And that's about all I have right now. OH - Except that he has been chosen to be one of this year's Children's Miracle Network Child Champions for the area telethon this year. So that's quite exciting.

... The past few months have been crazy. In August, my husband lost his job. Early September, my elder daughter was hit by a car on her way to school. End of September, my son had his right lung collapse spontaneously. Four days in the hospital with that, then it happened again the end of October, resulting in 16 days in the hospital, along with requiring surgery to fix it. They also discovered that he has a 9 mm hole in his heart called an "Atrial Septal Defect". He will need surgery in a couple of months to have this fixed. He's also been recently diagnosed with hypothyroidism and so will have to be on hormone replacement therapy for the rest of his life. So that, my friends, has been my life as of late.
