Dream Goddess
Dream Goddess

In a gossamer gown of sea-foam white
she dreams the world every night,
Goddess of love, Goddess of life
mother of serenity, daughter of strife.
As her dreams unfold
the story of the world is told,
what is but a dream for her
are the events that in reality occur.

Last night I dreamed of a valley
lush and green.
Tall oak guardians towering
gallant and serene.
Broadleaf forest
bordering secret glade,
long legged dryads
dancing to a faery serenade.

Sitting on her throne
of wildewood rose,
a white clad goddess
majestic in regal pose.
My heart stills,
tears filling each eye,
I can only hope for such paradise
whence comes my time to die.

Sadness fills my heart
for this is only a dream,
the majestic valley,
the dancing stream.
But somehow I am sure
that reality is also here
a calming truth
quelling my fear.

The Goddess turns
and music as she speaks,
"Treasures are found
by one who seeks.
You have dreamed a vision
that shall hold true,
you dreamed the vision,
I dreamed you".
