| If your as infatuated with these little critters as I am, you just can't wait to get another one. Or if your new to Chinchillas your probably wondering where you can get your first one. Many corporate petstores have started to sell Chins in thier stores, but i don't advise buying from one like I did. Most of the times the chins in these stores are not well taken care of and have limited interaction with a friendly hand. Employees to these stores often know nothing about the care and/or history of the chins. I remember once i was in a Pet store where a woman was buying a chin for her young daughter and was trying to ask the employee how she should take care of it. The man had no idea so I had to step in a give a quick lesson on chinchilla care right there in line! The bottom line is, if you want a good, healthy and friendly chin, go to a breeder. These people dedicate thier time and money to strengthening the quality of these wonderful animals. You will be much better off when purchasing a chin off a breeder for they can answer your questions in a blink of an eye.
