The Maddening World

I do not understand the echoes that bounce off these padded walls,
Even when they are the dreadful screams that belong to me...
To make sense of what is around me,
Is not the logical thing to do.
There are four corners and everywhere I see is the same pixel, inch and metre.
My thoughts are all that run through this room
And it's torture when you can't breathe a word to the outside
Without being ridiculed and called deranged.
You sit there like a nervous wreck,
Your opinion never valued because it's an idea never thought of.
Worlds collide and you cannot make sense of the situation because each scene or picture is unique and complex, sometimes confusing...
Staunch 'unadulterated' beliefs are impossible to break or reason with
Because it has been practised and eaten like bread for centuries
Despite the fact that it could be evil or holy...
And they put me in a padded room
In a straight jacket
To quiet my thoughts and my questions.
They lock up my mind with medicative keys with the intent of blocking and bombarding my reasoning and wanting to know...
They want to kill whatever is inside of me because they're afraid of the changes these thoughts could make
But they are fools...
My words are still being whispered by the non-believers,
My words will live on to tell the tale
Even as i scream to the padded walls....
