| How To Sign The Honshazeshonen Symbol |
| This is a very long symbol and usually takes a little longer to learn than the first two symbols. There are 23 lines in the symbol and again, the name is repeated three times during the signing of the symbol. It is said once during the signing of the first six lines, again during the signing of lines 7 to 12, and again during the signing of lines 13 to 18. The remainder of the symbol is signed in silence. Learning to sign the symbol To make it easier or simple to learn, divide the symbol into approximately three parts and learn one section at a time. Once you have learnt one section thoroughly and are able to draw it both in the air and on a piece of paper, you are ready to move onto the next section. Keep learning each section and put them together until you have reached the end of the entire symbol. If you find 3 sections too difficult, then divide it into 4 sections � whatever you feel comfortable with. Always start each line of the symbol from left to right or top to bottom. You will find each line is numbered, so simply start at line 1 and continue till you have reached line 23. To sign the Honshazeshonen symbol: 1. Begin with horizontal line 1, signing from left to right. *Begin saying the symbols name, finishing before line 7. 2. Continue to vertical line 2, signing from top to bottom. 3. Continue to slightly curved line 3, signing from top to bottom. 4. Continue to slightly curved line 4, signing from top to bottom. 5. Continue to horizontal line 5, signing from left to right. 6. Continue to horizontal line 6, signing from left to right. 7. Continue to angled line 7, signing from top to bottom. *Begin saying the symbols name for the second time, finishing before line 13. 8. Continue to vertical line 8, signing from bottom to top. 9. Continue to horizontal line 9, signing from left to right. 10. Continue on to horizontal line 10, signing from top to bottom. 11. Move to small horizontal line 11, signing from left to right. 12. Move to horizontal line 12, signing from left to right. ********* 13. Continue to vertical line 13, signing from top to bottom. *Repeat the symbol�s name for the third and final time. 14. Continue to horizontal line 14, signing from left to right. 15. Continue to vertical line 15, signing from top to bottom. 16. Move to curved line 16, signing from top to bottom. 17. Move to curved line 17, signing from top to bottom. 18. Continue to small horizontal line 18, signing from left to right. 19. Continue to horizontal line 19, signing from left to right. 20. Continue on to curved line 20, signing from top to bottom. 21. Continue to curved line 21, signing from left to right. 22. Move to small curved line 22, signing from top to bottom. 23. Finally sign line 23, from top to bottom. |
