| Foreward I sat down to write a simple and short booklet to guide students who were going on to be attuned to Reiki Second Degree energy, and found myself writing more and more. To my surprise, the booklet kept writing itself almost, as I remembered more information that I wanted to include. Spirit was also whispering in my ear to mention this and that, and have added to what was going to be an even shorter written work than the Reiki First Degree Booklet! My focus has been to keep Reiki simple for I believe that in essence, it is a pure, simple and beautiful energy - powerful, yet able to be embraced by all who knock on its doors. In writing these pages, I have found that art has echoed life, so to speak, in that being attuned to Reiki energy is only the beginning of a long and incredibly interesting journey into the realm of healing and the Healing Arts. It is the stepping stone to vast amounts of knowledge involving all aspects of healing. If you are a Reiki Second Degree student, you have announced to the Universe, to the Creator, to the Divine, to all those in spirit who guide you, that you are ready to proceed on the healing path. You have sent out your intention and spoken your desire and will to help bring healing to others, to bring awareness to others of their own inner power and divinity through healing. Do not be surprised if this road leads you to many different doors, on many wonderful explorations of various healing energies and modalities, and to many wise teachers in many guises - for this is surely where you are headed! And so, I began to write something short and basic, and have been more detailed than I intended to be - but spirit assures me that this is as it should be, for what I have shared with you on these pages is only a microspeck of what lies ahead for those who seek it! There are worlds of information to be found and embraced, as well as healing techniques and symbols - of which reiki is only one! In my own experience Reiki is an awesome energy that not only heals your own life and the lives of others, but is also a springboard from which you leap into the pool of healing knowledge. Bless all of you who embark on this path - my love and support will always be with you. The world will truly be blessed by your healing presence.
