| HEART CHAKRA This chakra is located in the middle of the upper chest on top of the breast area. While the actual heart is slightly off center and to the left, the heart chakra is in the middle. The colour for this chakra is green. In women it spins in a clockwise direction and the opposite direction for men. This chakra governs our emotions, our feelings, giving and receiving love, unconditional etc..If we have a broken heart or have not had much love as a child, this chakra is heavily involved in our healing. It is of major importance and indeed if you are working with the unified chakra, it is through this heart chakra area. It deals with our heart, and heart muscle, our lungs, our eosophagus, rib cage, sternum, breast area etc... THROAT CHAKRA The throat chakra is situated at the base of the neck below the voice box. The colour for this chakra is blue. In women it swirls in an anticlockwise direction and the oppsoite direction for men. This chakra governs our speech and being able to voaclize our needs and thoughts. Many problems with this area is a result of our inability to speak what is on our minds, or to vocalize too much, or too loudly. It also is involved in our taking in of nourishment and replenishing ourselves. It deals with the neck, the throat, the voice box, lower face, toungue, thyroid etc... THIRD EYE CHAKRA This chakra is found in the middle of the forehead inbetween the eyes. The colour for this chakra is deep violet or indigo. The energy swirls in a clockwise direction for women and the reverse for men. This chakra deals with our eyes, ears, nose, etc...On a spiritual level, it is connected with our psychic and clairvoyant abilities and our connection to spirit and other dimensions. It opens us to information from outside our own world and dimension. Often when we are opeing or working with this chakra we may feel a pressure in this area or a mild headache. CROWN CHAKRA The crown chakra is located directly on the top of our head facing upwards towards the sky. It swirls in an anticlockwise direction for women, and clockwise for men. The colour associated with this energy center is pure white. This chakra is related to our head area and brain, our thoughts and learning, understanding and tolerance, our wisdom and openness to experiences, visions and dreams. It opens us to the universe and all possibilities. If we have a closed mind, then our crown chakra is not functioning properly. When it is open and working properly, we are connected to the Divine, the Universal Source of all that Is, we are intuitive and follow our heart, we feel safe, guided and protected.
