Limit Breaks or Desperation Attacks will appear when you are low on HP, especially when your HP is displayed in yellow (in critical condition). Press Circle repeatedly until you hear the Limit Break sound. Each Limit Break for every character is different.
Squall Leonhart
Renzokuken-Squall's multi hit limit break attack. Press R1 at the right instant on the gauge and hit from 4-8 times on one enemy. Squall will perform finishing moves at random after the Renzokuken. He learns different finishing moves by having his weapon upgraded.
Rough Divide-Attacks the same enemy an additional time-Initial Attack
Fated Circle-Uses a blue energy blade to attack all enemies-Upgrade to Cutting Trigger or Flame Saber
Blasting Zone-Calls upon energy from the stars to blast all enemies-Upgrade to Twin Lance or Punishment
Lion Heart-Attack the same enemy about 15 more times at maximum strength-Upgrade to Lionheart Weapon
Rinoa Heartilly
Combine-Combine with either Angelo or the power of the sorceress. Rinoa will have only the Angelo command up until she is awakened in the Ragnarok. The Angelo commands will be chosen at random and when using the Angel Wing technique Rinoa will be uncontrollable. Rinoa can learn different moves for Angelo by reading Pet Pals magazine and walking in the field while trying to have Angelo learn that trick.
