Light Points are sort of like neopoints. Except rather than buying things with your light points, you can trade them in for stuff like items, rank raise, or even board powers. They are designed to be cheaper than using neopoints as well. We try to save you 1500-4500 np or more on most items. This page has a list of all the light points members have collected, and what you can trade them in for. Unfortunately, council members cannot participate in this. You must contact a council member if you want to trade your points in.
