happen, they're not as bad as we thought.  At one time or another all of us have had a panic attack - an overwhelming feeling that something bad is going to happen, a scary thought and you fell you need to run to a safe place or person.  It's your reaction to the panic that causes the problem.  First, remember you've got to stop running in order to recover.  Recognize your anxiety.  Accept it.  Measure it.  On a scall of 1-10 where is your anxiety/panic?  Take a deep breath.  Try to figure out what is making you feel this way.  Give yourself permission to feel anxious. Use positive self-talk. Distract yourself.  Don't run.  You have nothing to fear but fear itself.  Laugh at yourself.  Relax and give yourself time.  Start and end the day counting your blessings - for things you can be thankful.

Illness caused by recognizable bacteria and injuries in accidents are best treated with professional medical means.  Unhappiness, inability to heal and about 70% of the illnesses of man are related to spiritual and mental.  If we align the spirit, mind and body together, the body will heal itself.  If we address medical emergencies by medical means, then all else can be dealt with spiritually, which clears the mind and allows the body to heal.  For example, one breaks a bone in the arm; yes, the arm can heal back together but without proper medical treatment, the arm could grow back with a lump and nerve damage.  With proper medical help, the bone grows straight with minimal nerve damage, allowing for spiritual and mental healing to do the rest.  The person may recover faster.

Get On Up

Research shows us that positive mental exercises can lift depression, even major depression.  Some ways to put us in a happier mood:  Here's one way to put on a happier face.

Sometimes when feeling a little blue, I just have to do something because sitting doesn't help.  So I get on up, take a bath, put my clothes on and wear a hat.  I go some place where there are lots of people. People start smiling at me, coming up and saying nice things to me.  And in a little while I feel much better.  I never had to spend any money, just walk around or sit some place noticeable and smile.  I now have a collection of hats.

My mother used to say that was hogwash.  Then one day I said to her "Come on Mom, go with me."  I put a hat on her and one on me and off we went.  One by one, people came up to her and said how nice she looked or they came up to both of us and said the same thing.  My Mother's spirits were raised and she was so excited.  She said, "That was fun.  We should do it more often."  My dad, who was with us, had his spirits raised by watching my Mom.  They've been
married for over 50 years and my Dad said that day reminded him of when he met my Mother.  My Dad said, "She was prissy footing around in her hat at church.  I thought she was the cutest gal in town and still do. That sparkle in her eye just comes alive,"

I've tried it on other people. They say they get the same results. Some men that I associate with will also try putting on a hat.  Brighter colors seem to make more of a difference.  But a hat commands respect.  Sorry, baseball caps and cowboy hats don't count.  Berets do.  A bright color band or feathers on men's hats add pizzazz.  Let's hear from you!

Clean Body, Mind and Spirit!

Sometimes the body needs to be pampered.  Take a luxurious soaking bath with bubbles or rose petals in a warm bath.  Light a candle or two.  Soft, soothing music while you soak your cares away.  Bring the body, mind and spirit in to harmony. 

Because of the society we live in with atmospheric poisons, preservatives, medical and street drugs, it would be hard to find someone in our civilization who is not affected by this fact. 

Drugs can even change our personalities to one harboring secret hostilities and hatreds he does not show on the surface.

Research shows us that drugs and chemicals stay in the body long after they are ingested, dulling awareness and emotions.  They make a person feel dead, dull, and lifeless.  It now seems that any or all of these hostile biochemical substances can get caught up in the tissues and their accumulation probably disarranges the biochemicatry and fluid balance of the body.

These substances must be eliminated if the person is to gain the most physical, mental and spiritual exercises.  The removal can speed up or in some cases make it possible for progress.

You can increase your mental acuteness, feel good about yourself, feel emotionally stable and see things more clearly
