Poetic Ramblings
What the Pencil Tells the Paper (cont.)
by Mari Patrice Morrell

One day I'll say what I can't say today.
What the pencil knows,
and the paper, too.

On that day you'll know,
you're special, and cute, too.
You'll know you are inspiring,
and your songs are all prayers.

Trust me, I've tried to forget,
but then you say or do something sweet,
and sweep me off my feet.

There is something that, draws me in,
tells me you're different, and spiritual, too.

I've tried to tell you,
but I don't want to lose you.
I feel the need to be friend or love,
but never without you.

Your spirit inspires me to continue on,
so now I'll just pray for guidance.
If it leads me to you,
that would be great, too.

So know I'll let you go, and be a friend.
The pressure is off, or alteast less.
I'll always be your friend, and hope for the best.
Where ever that may lead.
