youth at risk   YOUTH FUTURE PLANS   latch key kids

We learn our manners, morals, and some principles (personal codes, rules of behavior) from our parents or guardians. Parents can't read for you, do your homework, or just put good habits, and knowledge in your heads. Life is a learning experience there will be changes, and alterations which may be influenced by your pears, and associations.

If you go to a youth science project show you won't believe what great thing these kids some in teams come up with. What is even more surprising is they had no help from their parents except maybe financial, encouragement, and some slack to do their thing.
Your experience in the eight, or seven fast years between the age of 10, and entering high school may determine your choice of associates; a person with good reading, and study habits may not find their place among those who loaf.

I think its safe to say that 65 to 80% of what you,ll learn will comes from books. This needs to be coupled with experience: hobbies, mentoring, scouts, volunteer, or work to have the proverbial, sweat. Caluses on the hands sort-of-speak that help mold the woman, or man, and is what most job interviewers may look for.
Some have parents who's skills they hear talk about at home, like the business etc. so vocabulary and knowledge gained via associates and relations.
I suggest if you are not going to be very tall, and you're  not that talented that you cut your time at the basket ball courts, and spend some time at the library with your girl friend.

COLLEGE: Lets say interring at age 17 or 19 and exiting at age 22 to 26 depending on career choice.

TRADE SKILLS: 2 to 4 years of trade school and than you get 2 to 4 years as a journeymen before you're considered a MASTER of the trade.

POLITICS: The one who will be president one day is around 26 years of age and is probably walking up big federal building steps right now to their first job were they will start to make a name for themselves. They may have already participated in some campaigning work, or demonstrations, for their party while they were in school.

BUSINESS: There are many levels to enter at: Journeymen, or Junior Executive for a corporation right out of college is great.

Check the Library for the Carreer Guide Books, Think about what your parents do; ask questions of people you know, and even our doctor, or school principal, law officers.

Go placidly amid the noise and hast, and remember what piece there may be in silence.  As far as possible, without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quickly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and ignorant; they too have their story. Avoid loud an aggressive persons; they are vexation to the spirit. if you compare yourself with others, you may become vane or bitter, for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself.  Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans.  Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real position in the changing fortunes of time.  Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. Do not let this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself Especially do not feign affection.  Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and the disenchantment, it is as perennial as the grass.  Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth. Nurture strength of spirite to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself.  You are a child of the universe no less than the trees and the stars; you have the right to be here.  And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with god, what ever you conceived him to beA whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace with your soul.  In all the sham, drudgery and broken dearms this is still a beautiful world. Be careful. strive to be happy.
