It may be possible to search across the blogs in a single query at Google Blog Search which has an option, blogurl, to restrict search to a particular blog. With the OR option, this search might be extended across several blogs, or blogurls. To do so, each blog to search is given a prefix "blogurl:" and added to the search form, and separated by OR (in capital letters) from other blogurls.
For example to search for word "abc" across a large part of the weblogs here, enter the search word in the search form followed by the blogurls as shown below:
abc blogurl:postandtelegraph.blogspot.com OR blogurl:livewise.blogspot.com OR blogurl:universeoflife.blogspot.com OR blogurl:virasat.livejournal.com
(Earlier Xanga weblog posts were archived and included month-wise at blogspot. Monthly archives are now available at Xanga.)
For a new search query across the same blogs, only the search word(s) would need to be changed. (Whether the order of blogurls influences the order of search results has not been checked thoroughly.)
Generations past shaped us in our genes and knowledge,
similarly we pass on to tomorrow
And we see that civilisations rise and fall.
What can we leave behind which makes life better for future.
Our today can be no less engrossing.
With scope for introspection, clarity, and life-wise technology.
This site and endeavour seeks to be in touch with that Universe of life
(Lifecosm)
The flower called life
To understand and live life fully today
And leave a legacy of empowerment for future.
Life is multifaceted, and extends in
many directions and forms and so does our scope and focus...
Each of us is a living
being, and know life at first hand. Making this endeavour personal and
self directed at a basic level.
Looking at : human life, and life as a whole
The idea being to nurture and nourish both.
In other words, at one level, this site is
a call to our own human-ness, or humanity
in our dealings with
ourselves, with others, and with the life world in general.
It could be called a quest to search for what embodies being human at
its
living-most.
That is, how do we be or live so that our lives are most fulfilled, in
relations to our own selves, others around us, and life itself in
general.
Which may lead us to some more characteristic circles of endeavour,
As individuals, our personal lives are closest to us,
and so on for ourselves as humans, and as living
beings.
We could look at how activities geared to humans can best serve human
beings and life in general.
That is, pursue a Life centered approach
in activities for human fulfillment and the world of life.
co-existence of life and human life today and in future.
Fuller, more enriched, more fulfilling - wholer - lives for
ourselves in the present and with similar hopes for life in
future....
Simply means keeping life in mind when
defining products, services and activities which affect life. Keeping
in mind: their nature,
interests, requirements.
Taking a broader overall look at needs and wants, and their
fulfillment.
How can means of fulfillment such as products,
services, policies, etc. fulfill life on the whole as they aim at
particular needs or wants. Looking to fulfillment for the person
and life as a whole. Not damaging life overall or in other aspects,
while seeking to meet a particular want or need.
For example, take bread, an everyday product which meets
some crucial human needs, and wants. How can we ensure that bread
meets these and other needs well, and ensure that it does not
harm us?
Does bread meet our requirements? Can we enhance its usefulness?
How do current production and marketing practices affect
the way people consume bread? Is the packaging good for keeping it
fresh? Are the ingredients suited
to different people? Does it promote more than necessary carbohydrates
consumption? How does refined flour affect people? Can bread be put to
new uses?
Should bread become more of a complete food than it is now, containing
nutritional supplements or other food elements in it? How do we eat
bread, in a social environment? What does it mean to "break
bread"?
When viewing bread from
the perspective of whole human and life, one can look at it from
various perspectives which can enhance its utility to us over all.
For a living being, anything to do with one part of the person affects
the
whole being and through that may affect other people and life.
Products and services which keep in mind
the whole person and life, could create value for the consumer, markets
and life in general. And products and services which do not meet human
or life requirements can turn harmful.
Similarly for policies. How far are real
living human beings, or the true scale and
scope of life considered and incorporated into policies? How
well are they monitored for effectiveness or harm ?
For instance, the Great Depression and the 1990s technology boom saw
big influx of the small
investor in the stock markets. Are there some similarities in the way
the markets went up
in both instances before the bust. Could policies have been put in
place to protect these investors ?
The makers are dealing with living beings, and could benefit from
keeping the whole person and life in focus or at
least in the back of their minds, which may help ensure that their
product or service or policy, etc. fits in well with overall human well
being and life in general.
Lets get specific.....
We continue our journey....
A little about the approach :
Our experience of life is a result of many influences. Our personality,
family, the society around us, etc. This life
palette varies for each person. And may vary for the same
person over time. This is all part of what makes up life. And
goes into making individual lives different from each other.
No
Solutions:
Problems affecting particular lives and entities need to be studied
closely which is beyond the aims, scope or ability of what we do here.
So please note that solutions are beyond the scope of what we can
do here. Nor would attempting to solve problems in this manner be
appropriate or do justice.
Life is so full and expresses it's self in so many ways, and we look at
that here,
but it does not mean we can or do provide solutions. Just to be clear,
we do not provide solutions.
The idea is :
to approach life, life issues or queries,
as fully as
possible. Such as looking at the underexamined
aspects of life. To gain insight into them. And possibly useful
information for living better. And more.
Valuing the Undervalued :
In life, there are contributors to our overall wellbeing that may
go under recognised and possibly undervalued. For example, mother's
role in keeping a family going and raising children well. Or the love
of a father. Or, to take a different area, the contribution of the
civic services to the wellbeing of our living environments.
Or the unknown innovators who have contributed to the way we live
today.
Arriving at a better understanding of life, and of what it takes to
keep life ticking along fine.
Looking at issues /aspects
which increase our understanding and appreciation of the host of
factors which contribute to making our life lifeworthy. In doing so,
possibly get in touch with greater ability to make life more
alive.
Whole Life :
Looking at the whole - the big picture - and the interconnections
in it. The focus is the full spectrum of life, the whole life
experience. Look at various issues / aspects of life and how they make
up our life as a unit. Noticing values that are worthwhile yet seldom
addressed.
The work here is about our lives, and
life, and not a charity.
We hope to give free access and support participation.... while
respecting the rights of others.
I am not an expert on all things life...
I have an interest in, possibly
some affinity for what I have presented here. This does not make me an
expert in all the many areas of life that get covered here. While I am
interested in this area, I do not claim to be an
expert in those terms.
In more simple terms, one
basic idea is to create a
communication
area for all life, and particularly human life.
A place where we look at life-as-a-unit and bring our understanding of
its facets and aspects to make our whole life more alive, fulfilled,
well-lived. That is one of the points here.
Even more so, is the idea that life is experienced in its wholeness by
us... and that there is a joy in the company of other human beings...
just as there is and can be in company of self ... and being aware
of the presence of self and other living beings ... and being in
touch with our human selves ... our values ... in touch with life ...
and nature ... being in tune with life ...
Because when we are living in this way [expressing self, life, living
in tune with life, nature, ... ], even when doing nothing, there can be
joy, a joy that also can be shared or enjoyed by others ...
When we are living, our beings even in silence communicate our living,
a sense of well being may be in the air - a joy which can add to life
quality of ourselves as also others ...
So this is not so much about activities, doing things, learning, etc.
by themselves - which all take place in living life - it's life living
, life expression ...
[ which in its way also facilitates ways to make life livable ... ]
The work will continue to evolve, and grow... so will our
ideas...
This
work is notat all limited to this
endeavour, or site, or me, it
concerns life ....
