The Windows of Blue and Gold----4
Last

An eerie glow began to project around the black wolf's fur. He stood still as Q leaped into a tree, his back fur bristling slightly. Silver's mouth began to fill with blue electricity. His paws were burning into the floor. Quiet for only a moment, he dropped his jaws as an electric wave shot towards the panther. Qs eyes dropped open. He lifted a paw to block but it was too late. The electric shock ran through his body jolting him against the trunk of a tree. He groaned as the tree wilted to project light on his foot. His fu began to singe and sizzle as he coughed. Silver chuckles maniacally then walked away. Q hollered loudly, his eyes filling with water as he drew his paw back from the sun. He realized what Silver had done, and knew he would pay for that.

Silver exited the clearing as he walked back into the meadow. Nivare and Jisk were standing there. Silver began to growl, fire lit from Nivares sides. The hellhound bellowed as his golden horns shined brightly in the sunlight. Jisk snarled as his black eyes watches Silver carefully. Caseous watched from the shadows behind. He was smart enough not to approach the outraged Silver. Jisk leapt towards Silver, the black wolf tried to focus with his damaged eye. A brown wolf crept from the side, she watched Silver closely from deep within the bushes. Silver was knocked down by Jisk, shocked only for a moment. Jisk slashed at Silvers jaw, removing heavy chunk of skin. The yellow bone was shown, cold with the breezy air. Jisk chuckled but did not realize the oncoming paw. Silvers claw broke straight into Jisks eye. He clawed it closed as he snarled, kicking off the smaller demonic wolf. Jisk whined as he leapt off, leaping over to the side. Nivare watched as his draconic tail swept from side to side. He bellowed again then walked off. Jisk limped away slowly, mumbling under his breath.

Silver was not the only one with company. All the wolves scattered while Chase watched the glassy water. Darsnia, some distance in the meadow, was grabbed by a human a driven off. Why she had been alone was obvious. She had been expecting pups and wanted some time alone. Chases scruff was suddenly grabbed as he was pulled upward. He whines as he hung aimlessly. The human chuckles as he watched the drooping timber wolf. Many small wolves tried to attack but most were tranquilized. Silver abruptly leapt from behind, knocking the human down. Chase went flying into the water. The human turned to the rabid wolf then dug his ax deep into Silvers shoulder. Silver howled abnormally stumbling backward, the metal breaching into his blade. Blood drained from his side as Silver grunted to the floor. Chase coughed as he jumped out of the water. He rammed into the human as he bit into his leg. The man screeched with pain, soon stumbling off with the other bipeds. Silver looked to Chason, furrowing his eyebrows then limping to his feet, slowly walking away. The battle ax remained in his shoulder, driven horridly into the bone.

Chason whined as he glanced around at all the faces. Mizukori approached Chase slowly then smiled lightly to him, making sure he was all right. Ingvar smirked then walked off. Chase shook his head at him. A small gimp pup slowly made his way into the territory. His tail dragged lame with one ear flopping over. He went up to Chase, stuttering heavily then explained to him that he was Colaas only son. She had died not three days past and was sent to find him. Chases eyes glazed with tears. He lowered his head then wrapped one paw around the disabled child. What is your name? Chase lifted his head. The child coughed as he sniffled, Talron, sir. Talron is my name. Chase was surprised as he pinned his ears back. Talron.

The young brown wolf slowly approached Silver. She watched him closely, cringing at the sight of the ax. Silver whined almost inaudibly tearing at the flesh on his shoulder. She walked slowly out of the bushes as she sat a few feet from him. He began to snarl as he looked to her. True, she was scared but she tried not to show it to him. He bowed her head submissively then looked back to him, My name is Windsong Silver snorted as he lied aimlessly, I could care less what your name is. Go find a young wolf to frolic with he began to tears at his flesh again. Wind walked over to him then tried to push his jaws away. He snarled as she winces back, shaking lightly. There was something very familiar about this wo0lf. Silver decided not to kill her. He only watched her as she began to groom his wound. He winced as he turned away; she nudged his head lightly in apology. He grunted, not accustomed to the loving attention she is attending him with.

Chase, Mizukori, and a few other wolves set out to find Silver. They needed to remove that ax. Talron was left behind. Two female pups instantly covered him with attention. One was known as Myla and the other as Theirra. Until this day, they are all good friends. Chase stumbled through the meadow, searching for his brother. Mizukori was at his side, nervous as she glanced around. The other wolves were tapping along silently at the rear.

Wind licked Silver softly, her cheek rubbing along his. He was startled, maybe even scared. What on earth was she doing? Chase approached, Wind turned to look at him. A sudden shock of remembrance, Chase fell to the ground. Wind dashed to his side, Silver began to growl but closely watched the small brown wolf. Mizu ran quickly to Silver then ripped the ax from his shoulder. Silver howled as his teeth sank into Mizukoris side. She whined but pulled from his grasp, scampering away. Wind pulled Chase towards the water, washing his face off quietly. Silver watches her with a snort, his ears pinning back then he walked away. Wind whimpered, she urged to follow him but needed to speak with him.

Chase opened his eyes slowly. Wind stared down at him. He cringed slightly at her eyes, Am I seeing a ghost? Has this world cursed me so horribly that I am to be haunted by a spirit? Wind giggled then shook her head, My name is WindSong. The soul of Star Racer travels within me. Chase twitched then fell over. Wind chuckled as she waited for him to wake up.

Silver snarled, a giant paw slashed at him. The black wolf was thrown against the bark of a tree. Silver coughed as blood spewed from his nose and mouth. Q skipped from shadow to shadow, his gold eyes now blood-shocked full of hatred. Silver groaned and coughed, he had a paw on his chest. Caseous came up behind him and head-butted his awry skull. Silver whined, they had found his weak spot. His eyes watering, Silver held his head. Blood poured from his ears. His nose and muzzle was covered in the red substance. He howled dramatically, his skull throbbing aimlessly. Caseous and Q cackled as Silvers world began to spin. Jisk watched from the trees shaking his head lightly. Indeed, he hated Silver but Silver was also the one that rescued them both in that jail cell.

Chase slowly opened his eyes as he glanced around. Wind smiled down at him. She pointed over to the right. A wavy creature sat on the opposite side of the river. It was beautiful. A godly creature of spirit and snow. It was StarStar Racer. Chase slowly stood up, the old wolf gasping at the heavenly wolf. Darsnia suddenly limped around the corner. The spirit disappeared and Wind ran off. Chase grunted as he turned his attention back to Darsnia. He stumbled across the river to her side, licking her quickly. She whined slightly and helped her to a den.

That night she gave birth to two beautiful pups. Their names were Karaya and Roco. Roco was brown and white, his paws were dipped in gray. He was an active young pup, already bouncing around. Karaya was as well; she was beautiful as her silver mother. Chase smiled as he watched him but memories soon flooded his head.

Silver snarled as foam leaked from his jaws, his head swayed from side to side. Caseous was cackling as the hyena, chugging large rocks at Silver. The black wolf howled as his fur became engulfed with a red light. How strange it was usually gold. This will be fun Q snarled as his paws began to glow as well. Silver snarled once again, a pain devouring his stomach. He staggered back as he fell to the floor among the shadows. His back began to uncurl, his paws folding into hands. His muzzle shrank as his fur was sucked into his skin. A cape ran down his back, a leather vest forming around his muscular chest. A patch was beheld on his right eye with his black hair, flicked up. Spurs twirled on the back of his boots as he stood upon two legs. He grinned as he flipped out a machete and battle-ax, each held among a different hand. Q chuckled as he leaped down from the tree. He as well was human. He crouched on his knees as he landed then stood up with a smirk. He wore what looked to be a cotton shirt, holding close to his chest. His pants must have been a jean material; they were dark as his shirt though. A trench coat flowed down to his heels, his hands stuffed in the deep pockets. He had horrid red eyes with his brown hair as Silvers, flicked up, under a wide-brimmed hat. Caseous grunted then pulled back. Silver stepped from the shadows, flipping the machete on his wrist. Q stood still. He winced some as he lifted his hate to look at Silver, I see you have discovered your morphing powers, dear Silver. Silver smirked, blood still running down his cheeks.

Darsnia had two whip like tails, bobbing slowly from side to side. She had asked Chase for them. He was hesitant but he had given them to her. One morning, he took Roco out. The pup followed butterflies as he yipped. Chase smiled at his happiness, eyes tearing lightly. He flipped the halo off his neck then held it among his jaws. Roco looked up to him, his innocent eyes smiling. Chase set the halo on Rocos head as it began to spin. It then fell to around his neck. Roco smiled then chased his tail in circles. Karaya bounced out then pounced her brother. Darsnia soon stepped out as well; Chase extended a loving paw to her.

The machete clanked against Qs blood stained swords. The two men grunted as they pressed against their weapon. Q smiled as he snapped at Silvers face. Silver growled then flipped backward. Q grinned as he slowly began to move sideways. Silver refused to budge, his machete coming down towards Qs head. Q grinned throwing his sword upward to block it. Silver snarled, viciously slashing to and fro. Q dodged each, grinning as he moved around. A white human stepped out from behind. His skin was pale, his clothes all white. He smiled as he swung his sword at Silver. Silver turned to see him but the sword rammed into his hip. Silver fell to the ground while Qs dagger came down. It was too late, Silver had already flipped to his feet and stood a few feet from the two figures.

A familiar jackal hybrid slinked around the darkness, watching the young Roco. Talron, Myla, Roco, Theirra, and Karaya rolled with each other, playing in the grass. Mizukori was speaking with other wolves; she did not care for any of the pups except Myla. Chase was in a cave, sleeping soundly. Darsnia was by his side. Talron ran over to a tree then rammed it with his head. Brakon and Cendria fell onto of each other. Roco and Karaya yipped as they ran over to them, pouncing them. Theirra kept her distance, feeling a little left out in the family. Talron nosed her forward though to play with him and his cousins. She smiled then leapt on the foxes. Brakon groaned then dashed away with Cendria close behind him. Theirra, Talron, and Karaya ran after them. Roco jumped up to follow but a claw sunk into his back leg. He was drawn into the shadows.

Q turned towards the shadows; his eyes glanced at the darkness. The white figure slashed at Silver, the two swords rubbing against each other. Silver lifted his foot then kicked at the mans stomach. The white figure was thrown back. Q growled, grabbing a hold of the white figures collar then pulling him into the shadows. Silver snarled and dashed after them but they were gone.

Talron rammed Chases side. The old wolf slept soundly, Darsnia nuzzled his warm fur. The pup whined as Theirra and Karaya ran in. They all leapt onto him. Brakon grunted as he watched them. He then slid around the corner and scampered into the meadow. Chase lifted his head as he yawned. Darsnia refused to move her head. Rocois missin..g Talron stuttered. Both Darsnia and Chase jumped to their feet, bounding out of the cave.

Cendria sat by the river as Brakon had told her to. The metal fox, mean while, scurried down the meadows. He leapt around bushed and pounced through the tall grasses. He left the meadow. Soon he approached where humans walked around. He skittered through the crowd as his eyes darted nervously. He ran backside of a large creature that stood still. The skin was hard and rough. Humans often walked in the mouth of it and stayed there for a long while. He scampered quickly towards a new thicket of trees then soon reached the water side. Many animals were aligned there. The devious Kriel, that nasty jackal, sat towards the front. His eyes drifted off, he was indifferent to what he needed to do. Q sat by his side, now as in feral form. Nivare sat a few paces in front of them and across from him was Jisk. Caseous sat towards the back, the young Roco held under his grasp.

Chase forced Darsnia to stay then ran from the meadow. Silver quickly beckoned at his brothers heels. He also had returned to his rightful form. Not long after, a couple hours journey, the two brothers came upon the gathering. Silver growled forcefully but Chase glared at him to stop. They sat their distance away as Q grinned fiendishly. Chason, I will get to the point. Allow us to steal your soul or we shall kill your only son Kriel snapped, boy was he bored. You could tell by the lack of emotion in his voice. He had grown old and obviously wanted to be somewhere else than here. You have my word Chason shouted, Let the boy go! Nivare slowly crept behind Chase and Silver. Silver grunted as he pawed the ground nervously. The hellhounds fur bristled with fire, blue electricity burned through Silvers teeth. This did not look good.

Caseous grinned then let the boy get up. Roco whined as he tried to limp past the towering adults. Q chuckled his paw slashed down and scooped up the child. He took him between both his paws and began to rip him, literally in half. Chase howled as his eyes pierced with white. Daddy! Roco screamed as blood spilled from his open stomach and little muzzle. Nivare leapt onto Silver. The black wolf spun around, slashing his long claws at the hound. Q cackled as he flung the dead child at Chason. The old timber wolf looked down at his dead son then up at the panther. Kriel watched silently, the three-legged jackal was indifferent to the fight. As usual.

Nivares jaws sank into Silvers neck. Silver howled, his hind claws slashing upon Nivares stomach. The hellhound snarled as he backed off. Caseous leaped onto Silver, Jisk rammed into his side. Chases eyes were locked on Q. A young female panther maneuvered around the corner of the trees. Qs eyes turned, he began to follow her. A young panther leaped out, his eyes full of happiness and joy. Chase looked to the child then up at Q. The adult felines eyes narrowed as he growled lightly, You wouldnt dare. He voice was rasp. Silver Chase snapped. Silver turned, his mouth blazed with fire. His eyes raged with blood as a beam of heat bursted onto the young panther. Instantly the fur was scorched and the skin vaporized. The childs remains fell to the floor, parallel to Roco.

Q snarled as his eyes resounded with anger. Silver turned as the heat wave singed into Jisks flank. The demonic wolf fell to the ground. Nivare swung his spiked tail, slamming it into Silver. Caseous leaped onto Chases back, ripping at his flesh. The female panther pulled Q back. She had not seen what happened to the child. Kriel watched then snorted. He weakly climbed to his feet then disappeared in the bushes. Chase fell to the ground, the halo from his sons neck rolled towards his muzzle. He felt no more pain, his body became numb. Silver hollered as his eyes bled, his size grew once again as spikes projected from his back. His curled claws anchored in Caseouss leg as he threw him across the fire. The white wolf screeched as the fire at into his skin.

Darsnia paced nervously. Mizukori watched her then shook her head. Talron whined as he watched the other puppies wagging their tails. He grunted, his tail did not move and never did. He stuttered away from the pack. Myla followed trying to find him but soon lost track. Silver dragged Chase into the territory, the old timber wolf was silent and dazed. Mizukori gagged when she saw him. Darsnia helped the limping Silver over to the meadow. Groaning with pain, Silvers eyes watered. He dropped Chase near some trees then walked away. WindSong soon flew behind him. Another little black wolf also followed. Chase had only met her once. Her name was Tanama, Silvers only daughter. Oh sure, Wind did have a second litter but both pups, Galligor and Daie, had been killed. Galligor had drowned in the shallow waters and Daie was attacked by the blood thirsty Q.

Chase held the halo among his jaws. His eyes watered with heavy pain. An eerie wind leaked by. Star Racer stood by his side. Darsnia whined lightly, her eyes drifted. Mere moments later, the halo lost its color. Chasons light was extinguished for the second time. Darsnia went into a depression with her young daughter. Star Racer, still among the second life, arose Chason; His spirit that is. In angelic form, Chase walked across the territory. Mentally he was still dead.

I cannot stay much longer Star laid in the ice. The familiar scent of BushKill filled the air. Chases dead spirit hovered over her. His nose dropped to her side, a blue light engulfing her body. He fur returned to its brownish tint as her eyes sparkled with life. He backed away; she could no longer see him. He sighed then walked away. She whined mostly because she could not follow.

For almost a month, she traveled throughout the lands looking for someone to resurrect. She found a kind human, one with a loving touch. She waited near the alpha den; she called for her only love. Chases eyes opened as he strolled towards the BushKill territory. His feet skidded across the snow, his angelic wings flapped from time to time to give him an extra boost. His fox-like tails whipped from side to side. He had the same figure of his mother. His heart was as gold, as some said. But to himthere was nothing to cure the pain he received.

Silver limped as he snarled. Caseous and Nivare were no longer seen about any territory. The devious Q had refrained to the shadows. From time to time Silver saw Jisk. They gave each other a nod, but nothing more and nothing less. Silver soon came across Darsnia, who was weeping miserably. He walked over to her then grinned. She looked up to him then tried to smile. He snatched the halo from her quickly then dashed across the fields. Wind watched then leaped along behind the trees. Her daughter, young Tanama, was now among her prime. She followed as well. Darsnia yelled to Silver as she dashed after him.

Silver coughed blood as he stumbled into BushKill. He almost fell over as he saw the meadow. Memories echoed throughout his awry skull. He wanted to cry. He could not though; he continued to run towards the den. Tanama strayed towards the water. Wind waited, towards the hunting fields. Darsnia tripped after Silver. The black wolf struggled to breathe as he finally threw the halo. Chase turned to see his brother fall. He stumbled back. He saw the young black wolf fall to the floor over and over. He saw his brother screaming with pain. He saw his father slam to the ground as the black shadow cackled behind the trees. He saw his mother being torn by the ravished bear. He saw his first son freeze to death in the angry snow. He saw Star being buried in a cave, whimpering for help. He saw the sad look in the mechanical foxs eyes as he realized his face was gone. He saw his beautiful cousin lying in the summer grass. Her white fur no longer of flush but full of blood. Her dead mate lay next to her. Her blue eyes no longer full of life. He saw Roco crying as his small form was ripped. Chase blinked his eyes as he whined.

The halo slid to his feet. He picked it up and threw it into the air. Star turned, whimpering as she saw Silver. The halo stopped as he spun only inches from Chases head. His angelic figure appeared. The spirit moved his tail calmly. Darsnia screamed when she saw him and dropped to the floor. Silver groaned as he tried to stand up. He gasped when he saw his brother. Star slowly moved towards Chase. She rubbed along his side then led him from the territory. Silver shrunk in size as he closed his eyes. The golden touch appeared again. He helped Darsnia towards the cave.

Star had to calm Chason. He did not want to have magic used upon him. It took more than a few hours, to finally keep him still. The human smiled lightly then pressed her hands against his side. Electricity lit throughout his body. He whimpered when he saw the blue light cover across his body. He thought of his littler brother. He thought of the energy that ran through his teeth when the black wolf was angry. He howled loudly then scampered from the humans home. Star nodded to the human with a light smile then followed after Chason. She comforted him when she found him.

The two hid from civilization for almost a week. She was the only one to make him smile. She reminded him of the good old days. They bounded together throughout the fields; they nipped at each others scruff. Then one day Star went missing. Chase knew she probably went to look for food. He decided to return the Hidama meadow. When he got there, Myla yipped as her eyes became a puddle with tears. Chason, oh Chason. Talron is missing. Chase whined as he dashed across the lands. He asked Mizukori to please help him. She refused, saying she was busy. The old timber wolf growled then shouted at her. He was tired of putting up with her nonsense. She cared nothing for her pack, only for a few individuals. He snapped at her face, saying he is resigning from her pack. He then turned and leapt towards the fields.

Lowering his nose to the ground, he sniffed his nephew out near the pond. He leaped into the water and found Colaas son at the bottom. He was unconscious but still alive. He pulled him out then dragged him into the tall grasses. Myla ran up as she nosed him softly. Theirra also dashed towards them, whimpering at Talrons side. Chason nodded then moved away. He sighed as he went into a hidden clearing. Darsnia was sitting there; her eyes were watered with tears.

He smiled then wrapped his neck around her. He could no longer separate himself between Star Racer and Darsnia. He decided to split it soul, his spirit, his mind, his love. He backed away from her and told her to recede to the Canine Forest. She did. He went off by himself as his form began to glow. Darsnia padded into the forest. SilverThunder, the alpha might I remind you, nodded to her. Darsnia sighed then nodded back. Soon enough a young black wolf walked into the forest. He leaped over to Darsnia then pushed her into the water. Darsnia whined then climbed back out. She pounced after him. He grinned then hid in an old oak. She lied by the water quietly. The black wolf leaped down, his paws digging into her scruff as he drew the life from her. She whimpered then slowly died. A young cream wolf walked around the corner then smiled.

The black wolf pawed at her then ran deep into the meadow. He ran into a tall figure. The wolf lowered his head as he growled, it was Silver. A paw came down and broke through the young wolfs head. Silver snarled, his eyes were oddly maroon. He slinked away and slowly moved towards BushKill. Wind waited for him there, pacing in the den. Tanama rested by the lake. As for Chason, he paced back and forth. Q approached behind him and easily pinned him with a quick attack. He lowered his jaws and began to plainly eat Chasons skin. Howling with misery, Chase kicked at him. The old wolf felt a pop, Q swallowed his hind leg. His chest was torn open, his muzzle numb with pain. The light soon shone into the clearing. Q screeched as the light sizzled into his shoulders. He leaped off the wolf then hurtled into the shadows.

Chason lied there; his blue eyes watched the sky. By night fall, his gray fur was now black. His whole body just dyed black. He lay there quietly, staring into nothing. Why did the other ferals continuously resurrect him? He thought of all the deaths echoing into his life. Why was he born? What was his purpose? He sat up then began to limp towards the pond. A familiar young black wolf whined as she saw him. It was Nidia, where had she been. He sat absently, staring at the water. His daughter nuzzled his side as she whimpered. That was not the only visitor, Karaya ran up to him. Confused by his appearance but knowing it was him. She snuggled next to his paw. He stared forward still, he made no response.
