~*~ Chapter 86 ~*~

REDDING, CA –THE ANGEL’S HOUSE – JUL. 27th, 2002 – SATURDAY

Sweaty and shaky hands. That was Ashley’s sight. He was staring down at his own sweaty, shaky hands as he stood at the end of the aisle waiting for his bride. The minutes were passing by slowly and he just wanted to see his soon to be wife. He started to wonder what was going on that was taking so long for the wedding to start, not realizing, because of his nervousness that the wedding was delayed just 10 minutes.

“Now, stay calm, ok?” Grace instructed her best friend as they reached the kitchen.

“Ok. I am. Don’t worry.” Kirstin lied. She was actually terrified. Not of getting married, but terrified of screwing something up on this so important day of her life.

“Everything is gonna be fine. I’ll see you at the aisle.”

“Thank you, G.” she kissed her cheek and watched as Grace, her made of honor, took Erik’s arm, Ashley’s best man.

In the kitchen stood Kirstin’s father, along with Erik, Dan, Trevor, Jacob, Kelly and Emily, all of them waiting to walk down the aisle.

“You look wonderful, honey.” Mr. Addams complimented his daughter as he showed his left arm for her to link her right arm.

“Thank you so much, daddy.” Kirstin smiled big and kissed her father’s cheek “Thank you.” they started to trail to the backyard as they realized no one else was stood in the kitchen.

The nuptial march started to play and Ashley’s stomach turned upside down. He was really nervous for the same reason Kirstin was. He worried that something might go wrong with his so wanted wedding.

Soon enough, in his sight appeared Grace and Erik. Right behind them, there were Kelly and Dan and coming on third, Emily with Trevor on one side and Jacob on the other. He couldn’t see his bride yet, but he was a little more relieved because if something was wrong, these people wouldn’t be walking down the aisle.

Kirstin’s stomach started to ache as she heard the nuptial march being played. This was it. This was her wedding. This was the moment where her life with Ashley was beginning. She didn’t know if her stomach ached for joy or what. It was weird. But a good weird. And she knew she had to keep going, keep walking. Just doing that would take her to her man.

So she did. She started her path down the aisle. She tried to see him, but Ashley still wasn’t in her sight. The couples and the trio in front of her kept her from seeing Ashley. So, she started to look around and notice everyone in the small crowd. Some faces weren’t recognizable, but she soon saw some familiar faces.

Her forever and wonderful friends were there: Tom and Jared. They’ve been through stuff, hard stuff, but they managed to stay close to Kirstin and offer her their friendship, something Kirstin couldn’t be more thankful for. Especially in Tom’s case. He turned out to be a wonderful surprise after their break up. He was such a wonderful friend and had been through a lot with their baby and hard times like that.

Her college buddies: Stephanie, Nikky, Carl and Shane. They were few, but they were part of Kirstin’s life as well.

Her boss: Andrew Brown. She considered herself so lucky, because she loved her job and had a boss such as Andy, someone who always understood her, and would always cut her some slack in case she was going through some difficult times, times of which were pretty current in Kirstin’s life, unfortunately.

Her best friend’s boyfriend: Mark Mulder. He had a big smile on. He was a great guy, someone that Kirstin really liked because he made her best friend so happy and Grace didn’t deserve anything less than happiness.

Ashley’s parents. Ashley’s father was great, but Kirstin couldn’t be more thankful than she was to Paula. She had been wonderful to Kirstin ever since she first met her, and she definitely was a crucial piece in Kirstin’s wedding. She helped so much, more than Kirstin, Grace and Gloria, the wedding planner, actually. Kirstin loved her and already considered Paula her relative.

And there was Kirstin’s mother: Dawn Addams. She already had tears down her cheek and a red nose from crying. She was so happy for Kirstin, her daughter, finding a wonderful guy like Ashley was and for being so happy. Dawn loved her daughter and was not afraid of her wedding, because she knew they were absolutely in love.

Kirstin turned her head from her mother to keep herself from crying, watching her mother’s tears fall. When she did, there he was. Ashley Ward Parker Angel. Her heart started to beat more rapidly.

Ashley locked his eyes with Kirstin’s. ‘God, how can she be more gorgeous today than she has ever been?’ Ashley wondered. Kirstin sure looked great. Her make-up was just perfect, a light make-up, with a light pink lipstick that made her lips more kissable than ever to Ashley, a silver eye shadow, some powder on and that was it. Come to think about it, Ashley thought Kirstin didn’t even need the make-up to make her so gorgeous. Her hair was untied, with perfect curls that Kirstin didn’t have before and a little crown made of little light blue flowers to match the ones on her wedding gown.

And then there was the gown, which, for Ashley, was the most perfect wedding gown he had ever seen in his life. The dress was strapless and white, the bodice hugging her curves. An elegant, embroidered design of light blue embroidered flowers and swirly-vines covered her breasts, the satiny material underneath them bunched up in little ribs. The dress fit her comfortably around the waist, the embroidered design going down either side in a slight arc, accenting the long, full skirt. There was a long train that trailed behind her as she moved. The exquisite dress only added to her own beauty, the satin-like material and the designs. For Ashley, she was a sight of perfection.

Kirstin couldn’t take her eyes off of Ashley. She tried to, but her eyes were traveling his long figure. He was wearing white as well. Kirstin didn’t know why he decided to pick white, but she was glad he did. It looked perfect on him, that white tuxedo fit him perfectly. There was a navy blue flower on his pocket matching the three button vest that was the same color as the flower. The tie was also navy blue and was perfectly fixed. For Kirstin, that was perfection.

Before she realized it, her father stopped. She frowned and looked at him, wonderment in her face. Why did he stop walking? She then saw that she had reached the end of the aisle and Ashley was coming towards her direction.

“Take good care of her, son.” Mr. Addams said.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Addams, I will.” Ashley smiled, Kirstin’s father kissed her forehead and left to sit beside Dawn Addams.

Ashley smiled at Kirstin, and they both could feel their hearts on their throats.

“You look…” Ashley was serious and couldn’t find a word to say to Kirstin. She picked up on that.

“Thank you. You too.” she said with a big smile on.

Ashley smiled back and offered his arms to her. She linked her arm on Ashley’s and they stopped in front of the priest, standing at the end of the aisle.
