NEW YORK CITY, NY – KIRSTIN’S LOFT – APR.17th, 2002 – WEDNESDAY
Ashley woke up the next morning around 9 a.m. He stretched and turned around just to find Kirstin with her eyes open, staring directly at him and smiling.
“Hey, there.” he said, while rubbing his eyes.
“Hey.” Kirstin took his hand on hers.
“How long have you been awake?” he asked, moving closer to her.
“I don’t think I’ve slept at all.”
“What?” Ashley asked smiling and moving even closer, until there was no more space between their bodies.
“I don’t know… I’ve been thinking about everything that happened yesterday and I think I over thought it a little.”
“You think?” he smirked.
“Yeah, I know…” she pouted her lips.
“What, baby?” Ashley pecked her pouted lips.
“Oh, just… stuff.”
“Like?” he brushed a lock of hair away from her face.
“Like how stupid I was for believing in Cindy instead of you and how close I was to loosing you, probably forever this time, from my stupidity. And how much I love you and don’t even know how to thank you for being…” Kirstin was on the verge of crying “so forgiving, and understanding, and wonderful. I know I wouldn’t have done the same as you have if I were you, so I just wanna thank you for being so wonderful and for never giving up on me and…” Kirstin was shut up by Ashley’s mouth on hers.
He kissed her hard, passionately, never wanting to let go of her. He placed his hand on the back of her head and lost his fingers between her hair. Kirstin moaned from Ashley’s tongue action inside her mouth. The kiss got softer until Ashley started to peck her lips time after time and stopped to look at her. His eyes were so full of passion, he didn’t even have to say anything. But he did anyway.
“K, honey, stop worrying. Ever since I’ve met you, you’ve been worried. I don’t want you worried. I wanna take care of you. But for that, you’re gonna have to let me. Let me take care of you. I don’t wanna see you hurt or worried over silly things like Cindy ever again. Let me handle things. I’ll handle Cindy. I just want you to promise me from now on you’ll just worry about is our wedding plans.”
“Oh…” Kirstin brushed a tear from her eyes that had just fallen “I’ll surely do that.”
“So…” Ashley pecked her lips “You’ll let me take care of things from now on? Just like the man of the house would do?” Kirstin giggled before answering.
“Yeah. I promise. And I’ll do just like a bride to be, I’ll plan my wedding.”
“Our wedding.” he corrected her.
“Our wedding.” Kirstin repeated and kissed him lightly on the mouth.
NEW YORK CITY, NY – HOTEL – APR.17th, 2002 – WEDNESDAY
Ashley spotted the guys in the restaurant and trailed to their table.
“Hey.” He sat next to Trevor.
“Hey! Where have you been?” Dan asked.
“At Kirstin’s.”
“Oh, yeah. Kirstin’s! Where else?” Erik rolled his eyes.
“Well, it almost didn’t end up too good this time.” Ashley informed his band members.
“What happened?” Jacob asked him.
“Cindy happened.”
“Cindy? That girl from Redding that you said is staying here?” Erik asked.
“Yeah…”
“What girl?” Trevor, Dan and Jacob asked in unison.
“A girl. An annoying girl. I’ll tell you guys about her later. The important thing is that everything is fine between Kirstin and me and now she must probably be starting to work on our wedding arrangements.”
“Really?” Jacob said.
“Yep!” Ashley answered.
“Well, that’s about damn time!” Trevor exclaimed.
NEW YORK CITY, NY – NYU – APR.17th, 2002 – WEDNESDAY
Kirstin had just left her job and was now entering the NYU building.
“Thank God you’re already here.” Kirstin said, sitting down in front of Grace in the library.
“Yes. Well, you said 3:30. So I’m here waiting for you for 25 minutes!” Grace didn’t sound too happy.
“I’m so sorry. But Andy kept me at MTV and I couldn’t do anything. Sorry.”
“That’s alright. What did you want to talk about?”
“I had a little fight with Ashley last night.”
“Oh, no. What happened this time?”
“Just… Cindy.” Kirstin shook her head.
“Cindy? Who’s Cindy?”
“Oh, a nobody. A girl from back home.”
“What about her?”
“I really don’t wanna talk about it right now, G, if that’s ok.”
“Oh, ok. If that’s what you want, sure. But… did you two break up again? Please don’t tell me you broke up again.”
“Almost.”
“Almost?” Grace frowned.
“I wanted to… But I was stupid.”
“As always.”
“Grace!” Kirstin exclaimed.
“I’m sorry, but that’s the truth, K. You’re always way too stupid when it comes to your relationships. Ashley’s perfect, he’s great to you and you’re always trying to find a way to ruin your relationship.”
“Well, I almost did it this time. But I realized soon enough that I was that stupid as you said and now we’re good.”
“That’s so good. But… wait. Is this time for good? Please, don’t do anything else. Please, let this time be for good.”
“It’s for good, G. I know I’ve screwed up too many times and I asked for his apologies for all those times and he accepted them.”
“Oh, K, that’s so good to hear!” Grace squeezed both her friend’s hands.
“Ouch!” Kirstin exclaimed.
“Sorry!”
“That’s alright.” she smiled.
“What about the wedding? What did he say? I mean, did he say something about the wedding?”
“Yes. That he wants me to start planning it right way.”
“Really?” Kirstin nodded “Oh, my God!”
“I know! And that’s why I wanted you here now. We only have class at 5, I think we can discuss some things about the wedding in the mean time.”
“Oh course, of course!” Grace grabbed her notebook,
took a pen out of her pencil case and wrote in one page ‘K´s Wedding’
in capital letters.
