NEW YORK CITY, NY – TOM’S LOFT – APR.12th, 2002 – FRIDAY
“Ok.” Ashley nodded “I think I’ve said pretty much everything I wanted to say to you. Just the decision is still unknown.” Kirstin nodded desperately.
“Yes, please, just tell me.” she couldn’t take it anymore.
“I’ve decided that… it was really hard to make this decision, because you’ve hurt me so much.” Kirstin was nodding impatiently “But at the same time, I can’t live without you. I’ve weighed it and the pain I feel when I’m not with you is much worse than when you hurt me.”
“Oh, Ash, I can’t…” Kirstin had a smile on and was getting closer to hug Ashley, but he stopped her.
“But, Kirstin…” he said looking deeply into her eyes “This is your last chance. I swear that if you ever do this again, if you ever cheat on me again, I swear to God, I’m leaving you, no matter how much it aches, I’m leaving you…”
“I swear to God I’m never doing this again. You may not believe me, but it hurts me too to know I’ve cheated on you. So you don’t have to worry, if you really give me this chance, I swear, I won’t blow it. I’ll treasure our relationship more than life itself. I swear.”
“Ok.” Ashley still wasn’t so sure about it, but he had to believe in her “Ok, I believe you.”
“Oh, thank God.” Kirstin now was able to hug him. And she hugged him real tight, not wanting to let go.
Ashley smelled her hair and closed his eyes. He had her again. A part of him was happy for that, but another part, maybe the bigger part, was worried about her cheating on him. He wasn’t smiling as Kirstin was while they hugged. He had a serious look on.
A while later, Kirstin slowly backed away, touching her chin on his. The feeling was incredible. Both their cheeks were warm. Kirstin then felt Ashley’s lips on her cheek. Somehow, it was a bit cold. Ashley caressed her cheek with his lips and, before he knew it, their lips touched. It was just a lip lock at first, but then, Kirstin deepened the kiss, touching Ashley’s lips with her tongue. Ashley wasn’t so sure if he should let her tongue touch his, but without giving it too much thought, he opened his mouth and felt Kirstin’s tongue on his. It felt incredible. He missed tasting her. He missed her smell, he missed her taste, he missed everything about her. And it had only been 2 days since they’d been apart. He was now sure that he couldn’t live his life without her. He was lost in her kiss. She meant everything to him.
While kissing Ashley, Kirstin couldn’t believe he had forgiven her. He surely was too good to her. She herself, in his shoes, wouldn’t have done the same. But Ashley was too good and she knew it. She knew she didn’t deserve him, but she couldn’t go on with her life without Ashley. She had tried it once, and she knew for a fact she wasn’t able to live her life without thinking of him constantly. He was her everything. Her world consisted of Ashley being beside her. She wouldn’t let things fall apart again. She would, as she promised, treasure it more than her life itself.
The kiss finally ended. It had lasted almost 5 whole minutes. When they broke apart, both of them had their eyes closed. They opened them exactly at the same time and looked deeply into each other’s eyes. They were only a few inches away from each other’s face.
“I love you.” the two of them said in unison.
