KISS THE BRIDE
       John Notle quietly slipped into the church by a side door.  He went to a back row and sat down.  He hoped no one would notice him with his glasses on.  He hadn't planned on attending the wedding, but he felt it was his right to stir up a little trouble.  But not until the preacher ask if anyone objected to this union.  Then he was going to raise up his hand and go kiss the the bride.  That was his plan.
        Then he saw Bernie, his life long friend, standing next to the altar.  They had grown up together in the rough and mean street of downtown L A.  Bernie was the brain and John was the brawn.  They were called the Dynamite Duo.  Nothing ever came between them  Well, not until college.  Bernie got a full scholarship to a college back east. It was Bernie's dream to become a lawyer.  John stayed behind, yet they kept in contact.
       But then Crystal entered into the picture.
        John had met her at a Rave in Malibu Beach.  They hit it off right away. John was so enraptured by her beauty and grace.  She was a dance student at UCLA.  He just loved her long sexy legs.    They dated for a while and Crystal Invited him to move  in with her.   They share an apartment together.  They planned on getting married as soon as she finished her senior year.
  But Crystal's parents didn't approve of him.  They offered to pay for her to go to a famous dance school in Paris.  It was Crystal's dream career to become a world reknowned dancer, and going to that school would make it so.  John realized that he could not tell her no.  He told her to accept the offer & he'll wait for her. It would be his downfall to let Crystal to leave.  He would fall into despair and depression.
     John began to drink heavily to cover the pain of his loneliness.  It got him into trouble one night  when he decide to drive home drunk.  He got into an accident.  luckily no was hurt, but John was arrest on felony drunk driving.
       Bernie had just passed his bar exam and returned to L.A. to defend his old friend.  When Crystal also found out about John's trouble, she flew back to be at his side.  It was at the trial the two John loved the most had met.  AAn attraction was formed, but denied because of John. 
     Bernie did his best, but the case was cut and dry.  John was sentenced to two years in prison.  He told Bernie to take care of Crystal for him while he was away.  Be there for whatever she needed.  Bernie promised him he would.  Then John told Crystal to return to Paris.  She wouldn't be allowed to visit him while he was in prison.  He wouldn't take no for an answer.  He went off to serve his time in San Quentien.
       But  Crystal did go to visit him in prison...
