The Moderators on this board face a challenging dilemma.
The objectives of the founders and administrators in establishing H2O were clearly to advance the pace and depth of reform within Jehovah's Theocratic Organisation.
Having H2O frequented by vitriolic or hateful ex-JWs clearly does not advance this cause, as thinking JWs will be quickly turned off, or turned away.
On the other hand, having the board frequented by vitriolic and hateful JWs clearly does advance this cause, although it may turn many "interested ones" away from Jehovah's Theocratic Organisation.
The dilemma thus is that deleting the vitriol of ex-JWs, and leaving up the vitriol of loyal JWs opens the administrators and moderators to criticism for being hypocritical. This hypocrasy seems to have become accepted over the last week or so without any major complaints (administrivia, moderators, poster-children etc). This moderator has decided that this is appropriate moderation in the circumstances.
The net result: ex-JWs clearly are seen to behave far more circumspectly and respectfully than the loyal JWs, yet again undermining that fundamental doctrine of JWs - by their works ye will know them.
So having put that myth to bed, let's talk about Christian Neutrality :-)
Yours in hypocritical moderation,
Andrew.
