You and your wife may no longer be invited to social gatherings of witnesses. When a spouse (you) is essentially excommunicated, as you likely
will be after your questions and discussion with this HLC man, your wife may be treated in a similar fashion. Perhaps this will be devastating to her and to her social life, or it may help her to see the conditional way that witnesses
treat one another.
What you actually encounter will be very dependent on the local attitudes and the climate in you wife�s congregation and the personality of this HLC person.
