I don't think, and there is no evidence to support, that Russell was gay or a pedophile.
I do think (this is in response to replies below) that Russell's sex life is of interest.
We know he was not a normal hetersexual; he never had sex with his wife. The suffering Maria must have gone through must have been unbearable.
The reason this is of interest is because of the influence Russell's views on sex has on the WTBS even today, JWs' views on sex are very Victorian. Most consider sex to be dirty, especially anything outside of vaginal intercourse.
Russell's (and Rutherford's) perverted views on sex have cause much needless frustration and guilt in the life's of millions of JWs throughout history.
