I'm sure that what the CO meant was, now that
man has come to the scientific advancement where
he can alter genes, light, whatever- - -
it is not that fact that he can do this, but

imperfect
and may use these things unwisely.
Look what man did with the splitting of the atom. The bombs are bad as well as the nuclear plants, Man used it to provide something beneficial, [electricity], and yet, we can see what
harm these good intentions can bring. Man has the potential of destroying every thing on this planet with all his new found wisdom. What terrible thing will he come up with now that he has found out how to slow down light, I wonder.
