Others would like to leave but have too many ties to do so. Some decide that the only way that they can stay is if they make an effort to work on the problems in the organization. For some, such an endeavor may require that they continue to think about the WTS as "God's organization." It's important that to the extent possible, we try to understand the situation others find themselves in and be supportive.
Let them exercise a little doublethink, huh? You ask a lot of a man, LE. To know freedom, and to stand by and watch your brothers and sisters willfully enslaving themselves to a belief which they know to be a lie, to watch them repeating the magic words over and over in an effort to overshout the voice that cries for truth...
I will make an effort to understand. Be supportive? I don't think so. It is hard enough to stand idly by and do nothing while someone injures himself that way; I won't be able to play along. If anyone demands an acknowledgment of that belief from me, I'll have to speak in behalf of truth.
