The WBT recently had a watchtower study on how the priests of Isreal made sacrifices for their own sins as well as for the Isreal nation. They brought out how they will be or are following that pattern. They are saying that they are not perfect and no one is, so no one can say that anyone can serve God perfectly: all make mistakes including themselves.
What they didn't bring out was the fact that it is not a matter of imperfect men making mistakes in Bible understanding or teaching.......It is this: When we recieve anything written from the GB we have to accept it as coming not from imperfect men or Organization, but as 'present truth' or words spoken or issuing from God himself which have to be believed as being "perfect". This is because they are still maintaining that God is using the GB as His channel to present information directly inspired from God himself. No one can even question them, not even members of the annointed if they are not members of the GB. The associated annointed number over 8,000, but the GB number comparatively few. Why is this? Why does the Society still try to give the impression that the annointed are all being used by Jehovah to direct the Organization, when only a handful of men are allowed to? If most of the annointed wanted to question or change something, they cannot unless those few men decide they will allow them to. In spite of all the annointed who were associated with the Organization and who also were also directed by God's spirit, why did only Russell and later, Judge Rutherford produce most of the books? (for years) Didn't God inspire the other members of the annointed as well? Where were they? Were any of them also inspired to write the books for the organization? Why was only one man,Bro Russell, and later, Rutherford the one to edit or pass what went out?
Why didn't the other annointed members in the congregations in the world who were also said to possess the same amount of Jehovahs' favor and spirit help to oversee the congregations through God's spirit? Didn't Rutherford trust God's spirit to do the directing? Why did the GB have to do all of it from one remote spot in the world?
So if not all of the annointed, was used, then in actuality, the faithful and discreet slave was not all of the annointed, but one man, at first: Bro Russell, then after him, Judge Rutherford, then Bro. Knorr, and finally a handful of men making up the GB. Most of the annointed were not a part of the "faithful and discreet slave" that had any part in giving 'food at the proper time"
If this food from God's table has turned out to be in error, then was it truly from God? Could it be said that God put in on the table in spite of the claim that it was God's food? Does God give us false prophecies and error, and expect us to preach them world wide? I think not.
Just food
for thought.
