Elder Dolittle,
Of course, every thinking person here can see what a sham your post was. No legitimate arguments, no fact, just puffery. It's laughable, really.
I'll give you just one example of how little you know about presenting clear and defined assertions (or arguments, if you will):
:Be honest. Scan and post ALL the letters on your web site. Because I will stake my over 40 years of faithful service in God's organization that the majority if not all of those letters will speak positively of the Society's contributions to disaster relief efforts!
Name some facts, instead of making people look them up and do your homework for you. YOU made the assertion. We didn't. Are you willing to do that? I doubt it. I've already done research on what the society does in disaster situations, and almost ALWAYS they do NOTHING except facilitate delivery of contributed goods to ONLY the WTS members. The contributed goods were NOT from the WTS, but from the local congregations. The WTS does NOT spend its own capital (which it gets from the rank-and-file dub in the first place) to help in ANY disaster situation. It has been that way for about 50 years now.
:Prove me false and I shall join you "Reformists." Shall I hold my breath? Ha!
I just did. That means you'll suffocate. Shame. And in my 27 years as a dub, I never saw anything to contradict what I just stated. Even the Proclaimers book clearly states that in (modern times at least) the WTS sends aid to their MEMBERS in disaster situations. Period.
Furthermore, when it comes to helping out their destitute in their very own congregations, the society is very clear that only those with long faithful years of service are to be helped by their "brothers." What a joke. Christian charity is contingent upon "years of faithful service" to a publishing Corporation. Christian charity, Watchtower-style, is not helping for helping's sake, but helping based upon a person's PERFORMANCE over "many years."
Prove ME wrong, Elder Dolittle. My research on this subject has already been posted here. It should be in the H20 archives. Look it up, and THEN present your rebuttals. Are you willing to do THAT? Ha!
Cordially awaiting your non-reply,
Doug
