What you're doing, Friend, is blaming "the brothers" for yet another of the Society's failings, just like the Society today blames "the brothers" for its leader failings in the 1975 fiasco and in so many other areas. "It's your fault because you listened to us!"
No, that is not what I am doing but it is an extreme distortion of what I did say. All I commenting on was the disposition of the JW community at a particular time and it is true. As for the Society, they yielded to that disposition. Certainly there were instances of unilateral GB decisions, but that does not change what I�ve described at all.
Contrary to what you may believe, the Society has yielded on numerous occasions in favor of what the JW community wanted. Even today they do this resulting from JWs willing to express divergent views and work to preserve unity at some cost.
