My experience with JW's from that time is that they would follow whatever they read in the Watchtower, very much like the most JW's today. I do understand that they were a hardy bunch, they had to be in order to do the things that they were told to do. You must understand that you cannot tell me how it was back then, I know how it was back then, based on my hearing the many stories from my father, my grandmother, and my great-grandmother, along with the stories of their many friends. You have no proof for your statement, your opinion is unfounded.
