Well, Rick, by now, as often as we have exchanged messages on the board, you ought to know how I feel about you. Just to make sure, though: I am now and will always be grateful to you for what you have provided through H2O. Because of your selfless efforts in behalf of this board I was able to tie up many loose ends in my life and set myself on something I knew to be solid ground, for the first time in my life. Of you as a person: I have asked you on occasion, throughout the years of my involvement here, to post more often on the forum, to express your views and take part in exchanges. This was so that we, the regulars, could get to know you and the other administrators better, and also so that you could derive benefit from the forum you created. Your involvement never has been enough to suit me. From what little I've seen of you here, the first descriptive word that comes to mind is long-suffering. Beyond that, I'd add in loving, peaceable, kind, good, mild, and self-controlling. Faith I can't speak of, and I don't see much joy in you.
I would also have to add in there that I think you're in denial. But we all are, to some extent; no shame there.
I respect you quite a lot. We butted heads once over Moderator 14. It was an issue, a point of disagreement, and had nothing to do with your character or mine. Your character is doing fine, Rick. Only those with strong filters on their perceptions could avoid seeing that.
Enjoy your rest. Don't spend it worrying about H2O; take care of yourself. I hope you will return eventually, when the time is right for it. And, before you return as the head honcho, perhaps you should take a year or so and just participate, eh? Jump in and have a few hot-n-heavy discussions. It's good for the spirit!
