Greetings H2O Visitors, Participants
Regretfully, Rick has departed from H2O as administrator for at least a rest period. I shall come online to check status and attend to the most important details. H2O requires one or more volunteers as moderator leaders based on Rick's posting requesting volunteers both moderator and leadership roles.
I have taken the role of webmaster until further notice.
After considering our options and with the advice of a moderator, I have decided to leave the H2o "traffic ticket" form for "speeding" violations in place. Moderators are advised to keep handing out tickets to ones exceeding the limit as appropriate.
I emptied the bin, if anyone is wondering about the posts. Rick and I don't see eye to eye on this issue of accountability. I believe the bin diminishes the effectiveness of moderators deleting posts. Rick believes the bin is necessary to prove abuse. Our compromise is that on my watch, I will empty the bin when it seems full enough. To me, this is like taking out the garbage and placing it curbside. I understand Rick's concerns and will leave the bin to collect its posts, but it won't get as full.
Those wishing to thank Rick for his years of effort building H2o here is your chance -in this topic. I encouraged him not to read too much of this site as to upset him until he rests a bit, but I suspect he'll checkin to see this announcement.
