I logged on right now to write a nasty post about pointing fingers and blaming others for everything that goes wrong instead of examining ourselves. Blame Moderator 14 for the state of the board, blame Covert for Rick's departure,etc etc.
Here I was, all set to point my finger at the finger pointers and I had to stop and take a look at myself. It was easy for me to defend Covert because I knew him from the early days of H2O, as a young faithful JW, I saw him defend his faith, I saw his coonfusion, I saw that he wasn't looking for an out, he wanted to stay with the organization. I saw him fight for the reasons to stay. I felt pain for him and understood his frustration.
I know this sounds really sappy, but everyone who wants to keep H2O, and who wants to make it work needs to try to learn something from all this. I know I have learned something here. I defended Covert because I knew his background. I need to remember that others have their own pain and frustrations, because I am not privy to it doesn't mean it does not exist. Thank you for sharing with us Kristin. I'm sorry.
