Is the Society shedding assets to sustain itself?
I understand they sold off the Mountain farm property
(the farm where all those zillions of apples came from)
I also wonder if you got about 11,000 congregations
putting out about $500 dollars a month into the
World Wide work you end up running things with
about 80 million dollars a year - not a lot of money
when you look at everything you're responsible for.
(printing, heat, food, CO and DO expenses, etc)
I also heard they have dumped donated properties quickly without holding out for full value.
Anybody heard anything else?
