I was finally able to open this link.

Look, WW, I find a lot on that page
fascinating, no doubt. Raises a lot of interesting questions.

We must remember, however, what this theory
ultimately is that all this "scientific" backup of theirs is aimed at supporting:
THERE WAS (allegedly) NO ANIMAL DEATH until
Adam sinned, NONE WHATSOEVER, about 6,000 years ago.

Next, WW, even if they don't mention that at THAT site, I'd be willing to lay down $5 that that is what they are getting at (unless they are "progressive" creationists), namely,
RECENT creation of the entire universe within the past 10,000 years.

Now, these guys at these "scientific creationist" schools, BECAUSE THEY BELIEVE there was no ANIMAL death prior to Adam's Sin, believe that nearly ALL fossils (including Dinosaurs, Mammoths, etc.) are
of animals that lived TOGETHER, right alongside man.

Next, what they are describing on that and other sites about their version of the great flood,
is something that, EXCEPT FOR CONTINUOUS DIVINE INTERVENTION THROUGHOUT THE DURATION OF THE FLOOD (1 year if you take the account absolutely literally), would WIPE OUT all Water-dwelling life from this earth. Some aquatic species can ONLY survive in "SALT" water, and some can ONLY survive in "FRESH" water. The sort of thing they are describing would end up blending everything together and wipe out everything. Plus, the
violence of the springing forth of the springs AND coupled with all their theoretical zillions of volcanoes and many-miles-wide meteor impact all occuring at the same time, this would combine to turn the oceans, lakes, and rivers into a thick muddy CREAM, so that if the blending of the
salt & fresh waters didn't wipe out aquatic life,
THIS would.

And all of this 4,000 years ago!

This would mean that the LORD would have
to, in the past 4,000 years, then RE-CREATE
all Marine Life from SCRATCH.
Now, WW, YOU might not have a problem with THAT,
but guess what?
The YEC's WOULD.
Know why?
Because most of them ALSO insist
that when God "rested" from all his creation,
THAT TOO has to be taken literally, i.e. he
did not create or re-create any new or obliterated species. So, all these theories of theirs,
however sincerely held and well-intentioned,
really only serve to confuse people and even
back themselves into corners.
