Hi Jay,
I almost forgot. You said:
>>You can't have a field filled with BOTH wheat and weeds, unless you can demonstrate the
continuous existence of the WHEAT as well (your alleged doctrines). And for 1800 years,
you
can't.>>
As noted in my previous post, this doesn't apply to my illustration because it is specifically for the last days beginning in 1914.
But you bring up a very good point. Since you are conscious of what is happening over these years, I thought I'd fill you in on these details.
The apostasty of Christianity was prophesied. Thus basically what was to happen was that there would be a corruption of Christianity for a while, with no real recognized "true religion" or temple organization. That is, until the last 110 years of the period when this "covenant"with Christendom would be in force.
This is the reference about the 2300 evenings and mornings when it speaks about the "temple would be in its right condition" after these 2300 evenings and mornings.
So as an explanation of the "wheat" all through these generations, there would be no clear-cut true Christian organization recognized through the ages, just individuals.
But there would be a recognized temple organization for the last 110 years of this period.
That is, 2300 evenings and mornings are like 1150 days/years. The corrupt activity of the apostate Chrestendom focusses on the last "time, times and half time" that is 3.5 times or 1260 years ending at the end of this system of things, which I date in 1996 for various reasons. (490 years x 4 = 1960 +36 CE = 1996).
Thus, if we presume the 1260 ends near the end of this generation, then the "temple" organization which comes into its right condition would be active during the last 110 years of that period. That is if you subtract 1150 from 1160 you get 110 years. If we end the 1260 years in 1996 then 110 years earlier would have seen the beginning of a special "temple" organization and that means it would have appeared in some significant manner in 1886.
1886 is the year that the first "Studies in the Scriptures" came out by the International Bible Students, which would begin the foundational series of books that began the witness organization.
Of note, especially since this is Memorial Week,
is that the Memorial and the correct celebration of the Lord's
Evening Meal was a critical issue in beginning the 1260 days/years. That's because the one thing that was a "constant feature" for Christians was the annual celebration of the New Covenant at Passover.
But by 736 A.D., 1260 years from
1996, which was near the death of Venerable Bede, who reported on this, the Catholic Church had finally customized and universalized the practice of Easter throughout the chruch. Easter, of course, is based upon the goddess "Ishtar" and
all of her pagan fertility Easter eggs, and bunnies and such.
Furthermore, it corrupted the date of the celebration on Nisan 14 and it became the first Sunday after the full Moo following the spring equinox. Thus the "constant feature"
was removed in the correct celebration of Passover. It began to be celebrated every Sunday and Easter was not celebrated on any particular date, but on Sunday.
Clearly a corruption.
But the International Bible Students, of note, even by 1886 had begun to celebrate Passover or the Lord's Evening Meal on Nisan 14th (or thereabouts), quite in contrast with the rest of Christendom, and they dismissed the Easter-cult tradition.
This was part of the temple organization starting to gain enough knowledge and clean up their false pagan doctrines and thus would be recognized specifically as the "temple" organization who would have a special commission for the remaining 110 years of the 1260-year "covenant" period.
Another way to calculate the end of the Covenant Period is to compare what happened in Jesus' day, when the end of the "70 weeks" was after 7 years of activity, one week of activity, wherein Jesus died in the middle of that week. The Covenant Periods are thus 490 years. That 7-year period ended in 36CE.
490 years x 4=1960. Thus a covenant period ends in 1996, since 1960+36CE=1996.
Furthermore, 1996 is 49 years from 1947. This was a jubilee period for Jews which represents freedom. A jubilee occurs every 49 years. So the grand Jubilee of the 50th 49-year period from the initial return of the Jews and rebuilding of the temple in 455BCE represents a period of 2450 years. That is 50x49=2450. If you date 2450 from 455BCE you again come up with 1996 (2450-454=1996).
Then there is the direct kingdom comparison. That is, if the 1290 days for Israel's trampling ends in 1947 when Israel was partitioned and the Jews were able to return to Palestine shortly after in 1948, then the 1335 days should correspond to the time of the setting up of the kingdom. That event would be mid-week of a 7-year period of the Messiah's Second Coming. Thus a general week of 1989 to 1996 is implied, as well as the concept that in 1996, as in 36CE, a special covenant with the Witness organization as the "temple organization" would be ended.
I know this is just personal "speculation" to you, but I wanted to point out to you that the Bible does address those empty years from the 1st Century down to our day, particularly the last 1260 years, and that only during the last 110 years, after the 23300 evenings and mornings had passed, would there be a recognized, set-apart "temple" organization used by Jehovah.
1. Of note, again, Jehovah's witnesses are not corrupted by the pagan Easter celebration and have correctly instituted as best they know how the Passover on Nisan 14 on an annual basis as Jesus commdaned.
2. They are the only organization who clearly understand the concept of the 144,000; the rest of Christendom thinks everybody is going to heaven.
3. They clearly THINK they are "spiritual Israel" so there is no doubt in their mind who they are. That's a biggee!
4. They were singled out, particularly by the Nazis, who fulfilled the "disgusting thing that causes desolation" during World War II and the HOLOCA UST. Particularly, Jehovah's witnesses were assigned the purple triagle to wear. This executional force carried out the "great tribulation" of the Jews which was prophesied to occur and that would be the worse event in human history, being of a shocking nature of which never had occurred before. So you have the combination of both spiritual Israel and fleshy Israel fulfilling this aspect of the "great tribulation" in particular. But this also is an indication they are specifically the "temple" organization.
5. And of course, they are the only ones preaching about a righteous new order, a unique doctrine for sure, in any great measure, worldwide, which also fulfills prophecy.
Therefore, many special prophetic parables refer specifically to this organization and to it's governing body that those who are alert are seeing fulfilled.
For one thing, the leadership of this organization are the "Rich Man" in several of Jesus' illustration. What the Rich Man does is fulfilled by the Governing Body.
And of course, if you believe this, just like in ancient Israel, the Messiah would come through this organization and be associated with it when he returns in
the flesh as the "prodigal son."
The faithful anointed ones associated with the organization in that illustration are the "older brother" class who are not part of the Messiah's secret coming and do not share in the special secret
banquet provided by the Father when the prodigal son arrives, but the Father does come out to them and reassures them that they are still approved. This clearly shows that there are still two organizations associated with the second
coming which are part of Jehovah's "household" even though one of them is left outside of many special activities and understanding of special knowledge. So the anointed ones and the governing body only find out after the Messiah arrives
that he comes in the flesh and that many others besides themselves will be part of the 144,000.
They are, of course, a bit upset by this exclusion, but...that's life!
The Messiah arrived and the kingdom was set up on December 26, 1992. The Governing Body was disfellowshipped from Jehovah's Heavenly Organization (by the Messiah) and relieved of their recognized oversight shortly before in November of 1992 and thown into spiritual darkness, a darkness that is proving to be ever-more apparent.
And that's the latest.
You're very watchful and ask some good questions.
Cheers,
Gary
