First of all, the description of the problems as to how to celebrate "Easter" is a part of Bede's work and the general time of finally getting total comformity is where this comes from. But in his day there was a lingering problem among some groups as to when this was celebrated.
And it is he who points out "Easter" is based upon the Norse goddess "Oester", and certainly the Easter eggs, bunnies, etc. are clearly pagan fertility practices. Of note, though, the Easter Sunday celebration corrupts the Nisan 14th passover in two ways:
1) It doesn't recognize the correct date as specified by Jesus.
2) Easter was to celebrate Jesus' resurrection, not "passover." And since "Good Friday" doesn't address this, it is clear that Easter has been combined with Passover, that is, the Sedar meal with the resurrection. So it's all messed up, no matter what.

Hello? Ohhhh, sorry. I had forgotten that Passover was celebrated on every sabbath...hmmmm, how unobservant of me. Please! The idea of a memorial certainly is annual and the original Passover was celebrated once a year. Sorry. So the weekly celebration is the abberration by any standard.
PARABLE OF DRAGNET:
You are really observant! I don't
know anyone who applies all these things like you. You've got lots of knowledge. So all I'll say is that I see you are applying the dragnet parable, prophetically, by the way (ha!) to what happens to the Church over the centuries.
I do not. I apply it specifically to the Witness organization's work. You see, the sea is like the world of mankind or even more specifically the sea of Christendom. The work of Jehovah's Witnesses, the preaching work, is like the dragnet which goes out and collects many fish. Then, within the witness organization, which unfortunately becomes an organization of both wheat and weeds and thus good fish and bad fish, do not produce 100% of the quality fish selectable for the 144,000. So some of those focussed that came into the dragnet, are then thrown back. That's why the "kingdom of the heavens" is like a dragnet" since part of the scenario of the last days, the last generation is the preaching work of the Witnesses who represent the temple class. And on that note..
THE APOSTASY...
I didn't want to represent that the entire Church in every aspect was totally apostate, perhaps that's too strong. In fact it is. But as far as a special
organization being recognized, one which would have a special purpose, including the preaching of the good news and the organization through which the Messiah would also be associated, that "temple" coming into its right condition after
2300 evenings and mornings, is what indicates there would eventually be a "temple" class or organization specifcally that would be in operation until the Messiah came and thus for the last 110 years of the last 1260 years of activity by
apostate Christinity, or perhaps I should say "non-kosher" Christianity. (smile)
Anyway, I have a different application specifically to the dragnet parable which must,like most of the illustrations and parables occur during the last generation or therabouts just before the arrival of the Messiah.
