I believe there is a lot of Christianity amongst Jehovahs witnesses, which is why I remain one up until now. In fact, I agree with most JW standards. Nevertheless, like Revelations account of the state of the early Christian congregation, Jehovahs witnesses today find themselves encumbered with unchristian conduct from several quarters, one of them being false prophesy. Some choose to remain in an association that they otherwise enjoy while working for change and giving time for it. Others choose to leave and otherwise work and follow the Master Jesus as best they can. IMO, neither of those people should be criticized; they have both made legitimate, conscientious and defensible decisions. Just how much time encumbrances to Christians like false prophecy should be tolerated waiting for repentance is specifically unknown and it may not be the same for every error. In the end Jesus is measuring hearts, not watches.
My comments about Jesus not providing personal chastisement mean only that I know of no overt action from Jesus like an obviously inspired message to individuals or individual congregations like that found in Revelation. I do believe that Jesus is head of those professing and living as Christians and that he somehow assists and guides them, mostly by means of the Bible. To what extent an individual feels moved by Gods Spirit is very subjective and personal, Id rather not comment on that.
