Hello again Seeker,

You said,

"Been there, done that, nothing happened"

You say nothing happened. To perceive that nothing happened means that you must have been LOOKING. What were you looking with? Your eyes will not see Jehovah. With your mind? You admitted that the mind can play tricks. With your ears? Jehovah's wisdom is not in audible form. Only one thing can comprehend what Jehovah does when you ask for him. Your heart. But even then, your heart has to be tuned into him, like a radio. You may be a frequency short (using figurative speech here), perhaps a small adjustment here, an adjustment there. Perhaps the "volume isn't loud enough. But even then, we cannot adjust that volume control ourselves. Rather we must ask Jehovah, pray continuously. Then if he feels that you are sincere, perhaps then he will crank it up to 10 :-)

I am not saying you were insincere. I do not know your heart. But the majority that say "nothing happened" were either looking for the wrong thing, in the wrong way, or they weren't sincere about their request and perhaps were looking to see if visible changes would suddenly manifest, just for the sake of having proof.

True, when Jehovah comes into your heart and opens it wide open, you can come to see things, but not with your eyes. You see things through wisdom and discernment. And even then, you can only take that so far. Jehovah must show you the things he wants you to see. Perhaps you ask a question, and he does not answer. Does that mean he didn't hear you? Not at all. Perhaps it wasn't the right time. Perhaps it is something for later on, perhaps you are not ready for what you asked for yet. I have been there also. But eventually, just at the right time, he came through.

And most importantly, something many people don't seem to think about, You may ask Jehovah for something, but sometimes the answer may be NO.

In Jehovah's Eternal Love,

Jason
