I have to accept some literal form of flood at some time in the past, due to the fact that Jesus and the Apostles appear to have taken it as a literal event. Even if the timing and actual events are
somewhat distorted due to whatever reasons. I also can't get past the numerous flood myths in far-flung cultures.
