Actually it is the evening of April 1 that begins their Nisan 14 since April 1 must be Nisan 13 all day by their reckoning. The reason they do this is because they do not have the truth and no-one in the Watchtower system of worship has sense enough to look up and see for themselves when the new moon occurs. This would have been visible on March 18 but the Jews declare it on March 17 this year scientifically and not by visual observation.
Because there is a question as to exactly when the new moon appears (visible to the eye) this year some Christians will observe Passover on March 31 in the evening with the Jews and some will observe it on April 1 in the evening like the WT will. However they understand that April 1 begins Nisan 15 a Sabbath day and not Nisan 14 a day of preparation for passover, simply by counting the days from the new moon.
The way the WT understands matters does not fit with visual observations of the new moon or the Jewish calandar and proves their doctrine on Passover is false. Or could it be
that the moon is wrong and the WT is right?
