Oh I hear what you're saying. I don't doubt one bit that it's about land and pride. I'm sure there's plenty of that. As well as religious resentment.
I'm not saying get rid of religion as a whole, just ORGANIZED religion as we know it. Such as, in the future, All the world worshipping Jehovah as one, nobody fighting over differences in beliefs about Jehovah because he would have corrected that. That is the IDEAL Organized form of religion. Not Organized religion such as, this organization, and that organization, etc. What we have today is many organized religions. But once difference in beliefs arise, that's where the organized state of things end.
I'm not saying get rid of the religious VALUES, which is obviously what happened in places that you stated. On the contrary. This world could survive without those Organizations if they all held the right VALUES in their heart. You don't need hundreds of different churches to know that you should love your neighbor. You don't need a hundred different churches to know that you should not kill. Ad infinitum. Now you understand what I'm saying?
