It's no fantasy at all.
The whole purpose of the book was
to smack-down selfrighteous, bloodlusting prophets who felt that THEYYYYYY (nose in the air, please) deserved to live the high life, while
all the WICCCCCCKKKKKED people should be killed so theyyyyyy (nose in the air, please)
wouldn't have to smell their stench anymore.
You don't wish repentance and conversion for people, YK, ----if you do, it sure doesn't show.
You do nothing but rant and rave and wish death on people right and left, just like those
oh-so-righteous thugs who were relishing the chance to put the harlot to death by stoning, and Jesus stopped them.
You act like someone possessed by the Devil.
Jonah, too, wanted "God's sovereignty" vindicated, and God pulled rank on
him, revealing to him that what he, Jonah, REALLY wanted, was the joy of seeing all those people die.
