I encourage other moderators to comment on occasion under their warnings as I have, if they have the time and feel strongly enough.
Okay, I feel strongly enough, so Ill comment, even though this is no warning.
In the sprit of healthy disagreement I would like to comment on your warning to OT. I felt the warning was inappropriate. I could be wrong, but I read OTs expression as a supposed theological dilemma needing an answer rather than a personal attack or insult. In fact, similar sentiments to OTs are frequently expressed by people who have little if any faith in our creator. To assist those people JWs have even published specific literature, just for their needs. We do not warn those people that they are attacking or insulting God, we try to encourage them.
I realize that OT is not a typical recipient of JW ideas and beliefs. Nevertheless, OT is a human being just like the rest of us and has pent up frustrations about why our creator has so far not stepped in and ended horrible suffering among mankind. His message is nothing more than an expression of that pent up frustration. Why should we warn against such posts? All they do is reflect legitimate feelings held by millions of other people.
As is OTs post contains no direct personal attack insulting God but rather dismay and questions about something that God has obviously allowed. On the other hand, I agree that posts aggressively calling Gods good character into question reasonably should ultimately be viewed as blasphemous if the poster continues with implied character assassination while refusing to allow for other possibilities.
Also, You Know was not warned for not turning the other cheek. You Know was warned becauseunlike OTin violation of the FPP he directly attacked the person of OT with extreme insult.
